Study on the Reaction Mechanism of RuOx and Its Enhanced Hydrogen Evolution Reaction Activity

In situ Raman spectroscopy and DFT calculations reveal that, prior to the onset of HER, the surface of RuOx undergoes reversible reduction and structural reconstruction. The resulting Ru(II)O/Ru(IV)O2 configuration is identified as the true catalytically active species.

Electrocatalytic coupling conversion of methane (CH4) is accomplished on the nickel oxyhydroxide (NiOOH), wherein the Ni─O dual‐site is triggered via the proper electronic interaction, synergistically promoting the C─H activation and C─C formation, enabling a selective and efficient C2 product generation route under ambient conditions. Interfacial Water Coordination on Ruthenium Oxide Nanoparticles Confined Within Covalent Organic Framework and Its Effect on Electrochemical Nitrate Reduction

We demonstrate how oxygen‐deficient ruthenium oxide (RuOx) nanoparticles confined within covalent organic framework achieve highly efficient nitrate‐to‐ammonia conversion. Strong interaction between RuOx nanoparticles and COF results in modified interfacial hydrogen‐bond water network and adsorption of nitrogenous intermediates.
