USING AN ACTIVATED COPPER MICROELECTRODE FOR VOLTAMMETRIC DETERMINATION OF ALCOHOLS
A method for fabricating a copper microdisk electrode of an original design based on 50 μm diameter wire sealed in borosilicate glass is described. The electrochemical properties of the copper microelectrode were studied by the method of steady-state ...

Constant Potential, Electrochemically Active Boundary Conditions for Electrochemical Simulation [PDF]
This manuscript presents a theoretical model for simulating molecular dynamics at electrode-electrolyte interfaces. The novelty of the model is that it combines a method for simulating constant potential electrodes and a method for simulating stochastic interfacial charge transfer.

Metformin mediates mitochondrial quality control in Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) fibroblasts carrying mtDNA mutations. At therapeutic levels, metformin activates AMPK signaling to restore mitochondrial dynamics by promoting fusion and restraining fission, while preserving mitochondrial mass, enhancing autophagy/mitophagy and biogenesis ...

Effects of Carbon Nanoparticles on Triboelectro‐Induced Surface Defects
Carbon nanoparticles added to grease modify the electrocontact behavior. The synergy of particle concentration and electric current dominates the surface damage of metals in contact. Electrical surface damage caused by current leakage is a critical challenge in high‐performance applications such as electric vehicle (EV) drivetrains and wind turbine ...

Duplex Stainless Steel Laser‐Surface Textured: Stability in Brine Solution
Controlled laser‐surface treatment (LST) of duplex DSS2205 steel is performed to increase its stability in brine solution under cyclic electrochemical assays. The superior protection with respect to flat and smooth panels is attributed to the presence of FeCr2O4 as the main protective oxide layer in the LST surface, after corrosion tests. The stability
