Applications of Graphene Quantum Dots in Biomedical Sensors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Due to the proliferative cancer rates, cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, autoimmune diseases and a plethora of infections across the globe, it is essential to introduce strategies that can rapidly and specifically detect the ultralow ...

Ferrocene Derivatives Enable Ultrasensitive Perovskite Photodetectors with Enhanced Reverse Bias Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Measuring individual overpotentials in an operating solid-oxide electrochemical cell

open access: yes, 2010
We use photo-electrons as a non-contact probe to measure local electrical potentials in a solid-oxide electrochemical cell. We characterize the cell in operando at near-ambient pressure using spatially-resolved X-ray photoemission spectroscopy.

Plasma functionalized surface of commodity polymers for dopamine detection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We have fabricated potentially generalizable sensors based on polymeric-modified electrodes for the electrochemical detection of dopamine. Sensitive and selective sensors have been successfully obtained by applying a cold-plasma treatment during 1–2 min ...

Electrochemically “Writing” Graphene from Graphene Oxide

open access: yesSmall, 2013
A novel approach of patterning graphene on conductive surfaces based on local electrochemical reduction of graphene oxide is reported. Graphene is "written" from typical graphene oxide dispersion by applying negative potential on conductive surfaces vs.

Electrochemical Oxidation of Rutin [PDF]

open access: yesElectroanalysis, 2005
AbstractAn electrochemical investigation of rutin oxidation on a glassy carbon electrode was carried out using cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry and square‐wave voltammetry over a wide pH interval. The electrochemical oxidation is a complex process, which proceeds in a cascade mechanism, related with the 4‐hydroxyl groups of the rutin ...

Understanding and Optimizing Li Substitution in P2‐Type Sodium Layered Oxides for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous

Pretreatment of fermentation pharmaceutical wastewater by diaphragm electrochemical coupling Fenton oxidation

open access: yesGongye shui chuli
The biodegradability of fermentation pharmaceutical wastewater is poor. A diaphragm electrochemical coupling Fenton oxidation process was constructed to replace the conventional Fenton oxidation pretreatment of fermentation pharmaceutical wastewater ...
