Cryo‐EM of Rationally Designed Photosystem I Nanoassembly on Graphene Validates Orientation‐Driven Enhancement of Photocatalytic Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The first cryo‐EM visualization and quantification of oriented Photosystem I (PSI) on single‐layer graphene is reported. Domain‐specific covalent anchoring of PSI, with the reducing side of the biophotocatalyst toward graphene, promotes three‐fold higher anodic photocurrent generation compared to a randomly physisorbed counterpart. This approach allows

Reduced Graphene Oxide-Doped Poly(N-alkyl-3,4-dihydrothieno[3,4-b][1,4]oxazine) with High Sensitivity of Indole-3-Acetic Acid

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2018
A highly sensitive electrochemical sensor for detecting indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) was constructed based on the composite of poly(N-methyl-3,4-dihydrothieno[3,4-b][1,4]oxazine) (PMDTO) and reduced graphene oxide (RGO) (PMDTO/RGO).

Decoupling Size and Electronic Effects in Doped SrTiO3 Photocatalysts Through Surface Area–Normalized CO2 Hydrogenation Rates

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Exploring the photocatalytic reverse water–gas shift (RWGS) reaction on doped SrTiO3 nanoparticle films, reveals that normalizing catalytic rates by the catalyst's specific surface area (SSA) disentangled surface area effects from the catalyst's intrinsic material properties.

Graphene-Gold Nanoparticles Nanohybrids for Electrochemical Detection of Malachite Green

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2017
Malachite green (MG) was an important bactericide and is now banned in different countries due to it’s bad effect to human health. In this work, graphene-gold nanohybrids (Graphene-GNPs) were prepared by the chemical co-reduction of Au (III) and graphene

Rapid Sintering of Porous Organic Polymer Powders Into Mechanically Strong Monoliths for Efficient CO2 Capture

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Spark plasma sintering enables rapid processing of porous organic polymer (POP) from fine powders to a freestanding and mechanically robust monolith. The sintering process retains the CO2 adsorption capacity and CO2/N2 selectivity, making the monolith more suitable as a solid sorbent for practical carbon capture applications.
