A polymer condenser microphone on silicon with on-chip cmos amplifier [PDF]
In this paper the development of a capacitive microphone with integrated preamplifier is described. The condenser microphone is made by micromachining of polyimide on silicon, and is compatible with CMOS technology.

Single-shot 3D endoscopic imaging exploiting a diffuser and neural networks [PDF]
Lens-based endoscopes offer high lateral resolution, but suffer from rigid imaging properties, such as a fixed focal plane. We present a miniaturized 0.5 mm diameter endoscope in which the objective lens is replaced by an optical diffuser.

Diffuser-based fiber endoscopy for single-shot 3D fluorescence imaging [PDF]
Minimally invasive endoscopy using coherent fiber bundles shows great potential for numerous applications in biomedical imaging. With a diffuser on the distal side of the fiber bundle and computational image recovery, single-shot 3D imaging is possible ...

Sensor Fusion for Taste Sensor and Odor Sensor [PDF]
Recent research on a taste sensor stimulated the development of several kinds of sensing systems that have the ability to discriminate various tastes of beverages or foods. Most of these sensors involve the concept of global sensing, i.e. non-specifically detected signals are analyzed to extract the inherent taste characteristics (Toko, 1996).

The rapidly developing organic–inorganic hybrid chalcogenide solar cells have now become a hot topic of interest. However, the bandgap of inorganic ferroelectric materials with a typical chalcogenide structure is too wide to match the solar spectrum ...

On Sensor Coverage by Mobile Sensors [PDF]
We study the problem of using a small number of mobile sensors to monitor various threats in a geographical area. Using some recent results on stochastic sensor scheduling, we propose a stochastic sensor movement strategy. We present simple conditions under which it is not possible to maintain a bounded estimate error covariance for all the threats. We
