Zero-bias anomalies in electrochemically fabricated nanojunctions [PDF]

open access: yesAppl. Phys. Lett. 82, 2332-2334 (2003), 2003
A streamlined technique for the electrochemical fabrication of metal nanojunctions (MNJs) between lithographically defined electrodes is presented. The first low-temperature transport measurements in such structures reveal suppression of the conductance near zero-bias.

Numerical Study of Heterogeneous Reactions in an SOFC Anode with Oxygen Addition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Previous experimental studies have shown that addition of small amounts of oxygen to a hydrocarbon fuel stream can control coking in the anode, while relatively large amounts of oxygen are present in the fuel stream in single-chamber solid oxide fuel ...

Converging Divergent Paths: Constant Charge vs. Constant Potential Energetics in Computational Electrochemistry [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Using the example of a proton adsorption process, we analyze and compare two prominent modelling approaches in computational electrochemistry at metallic electrodes - electronically canonical, constant-charge and electronically grand-canonical, constant-potential calculations.

The Li intercalation potential of LiMPO4 and LiMSiO4 olivines with M = Fe, Mn, Co, Ni [PDF]

open access: yesElectrochemistry Communications 6 (11): 1144-1148 Nov 2004, 2005
The Li intercalation potential of LiMPO4 and LiMSiO4 compounds with M = Fe, Mn, Co, and Ni is computed with the GGA+U method. It is found that this approach is considerably more accurate than standard LDA or GGA methods. The calculated potentials for LiFePO4, LiMnPO4 and LiCoOPO4 agree to within 0.1 V with experimental results. The LiNiPO4 potential is
