The Large-Scale Electrochemistry and Possible Consequences of Deep Impact Mission to Tempel 1 [PDF]
Some consequences of hypervelocity impact onto the comet Tempel 1 nucleus are considered under assumption that SP comets are fragments of massive icy envelopes of Ganymede-like bodies saturated by products of ice electrolysis that underwent global explosions.

Herein the metal‐to‐insulator transition is investigated when depositing vanadium dioxide (VO2) on glass or aluminum‐doped zinc oxide (AZO). O2 flow tuning during the deposition and additional post annealing are effective to control the metal‐to‐insulator transition. However, the VO2/AZO/glass stack reveals an increase in the transition temperature and

Electrodeposition from supercritical fluids
Recent studies have shown that it is possible to electrodeposit a range of materials, such as Cu, Ag and Ge, from various supercritical fluids, including hydrofluorocarbons and mixtures of CO2 with suitable co-solvents. In this perspective we discuss the

Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy of DNA Monolayers Modified with Nile Blue [PDF]
Scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) is used to probe long-range charge transport (CT) through DNA monolayers containing the redox-active Nile Blue (NB) intercalator covalently affixed at a specific location in the DNA film. At substrate potentials

Bond-Derived Orbitalwise Coordination Number as an Accurate Reactivity Descriptor for Oxygen Electrochemistry in Transition-Metal Oxides [PDF]
Unraveling a descriptor that is correlated with catalytic reactivity is essential for fast screening for the optimal catalysts for a given catalytic reaction. Herein, we propose bond-derived orbitalwise coordination number ($\overline{CN}^\alpha$, $\alpha$= $s$ or $d$) as a simple and accurate descriptor used for transition metal (TM) oxides that takes
