Hydrogel‐Based Capacitive Sensor Model for Ammonium Monitoring in Aquaculture
Traditional techniques for monitoring aquaculture water quality, particularly ammonium levels, harm fish. This work presents a novel capacitive sensor with an ionic hydrogel transducer to monitor ammonium concentration in real time based on the ammonium‐induced hydrogel dissociation and osmotic pressure. Monitoring aquaculture water quality, especially

Electrochemistry of Uranium [PDF]
AN account of the polarographic reactions of the uranium ions has just been published1. During 1944, experiments on this subject were made at this Laboratory, the publication of which has been delayed by war conditions. In general, our results confirm those of Kolthoff and Harris.

Electrochemistry of Gallium [PDF]
Gallium is an important element in the production of a variety of compound semiconductors for optoelectronic devices. Gallium has a low melting point and is easily oxidized to give oxides of different compositions that depend on the conditions of solutions containing Ga.

Review on Multi-Scale Models of Solid-Electrolyte Interphase Formation [PDF]
Electrolyte reduction products form the solid-electrolyte interphase (SEI) on negative electrodes of lithium-ion batteries. Even though this process practically stabilizes the electrode-electrolyte interface, it results in continued capacity-fade ...

Electrochemical detection of Toxocara canis excretory-secretory antigens in children from rural communities in Esmeraldas Province, Ecuador: association between active infection and high eosinophilia. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: The diagnosis of active Toxocara canis infections in humans is challenging. Larval stages of T. canis do not replicate in human tissues and disease may result from infection with a single T. canis larva.

Periodic submicron features are fabricated on 304 stainless steel using single and double femtosecond laser pulses. By adjusting polarization, fluence, and inter‐pulse delay, 1D and 2D nanostructures are formed. Enhanced hydrophobicity and dense surface‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy hotspots enable analyte detection down to 10−10 M with good ...
