Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

Electrochromic Fabrics with Horizontal Patterning, Enhanced Strength, Comfort, High-Temperature Protection, and Long Coloring Retention Properties for Adaptive Camouflage

open access: yesMolecules
Electrochromic fabrics (ECFs) can be applied to wearable displays and military camouflage clothing, and they have great potential in developing wearable products. Current ECFs are often bulky, involve complicated processes, and have high production costs.

Self‐Adaptive Non‐Flammable Wallpaper With Layered Bead‐Network Structure for Light Path Modulation Enabling on‐Demand Building Thermal Management

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A layered bead‐network wallpaper is designed to modulate the light propagation path, overcoming the color residue limitations of thermochromic components for efficient automatic switching between radiative cooling and solar heating modes. The layered bead‐network wallpaper provides passive, all‐season thermal regulation while offering self‐cleaning and

Aromaticity‐Engineered Open‐Shell Radical Anions for Air‐Stable Doublet Emission in N‐Annulated Perylene Diimide

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Open‐shell type radical anions with stable doublet emission have been synthesized that feature aromaticity engineering, through‐space charge‐transfer (TSCT), and electro(fluoro)chromism. ABSTRACT We report the doublet emissive open‐shell radical anions, where the N‐annulated perylene diimide (PDIN–H) is functionalized with aromatic rings.

All-Solid-Thin Film Electrochromic Devices Consisting of Layers ITO / NiO / ZrO2 / WO3 / ITO [PDF]

open access: yesЖурнал нано- та електронної фізики, 2013
We have prepared an all-solid-thin film electrochromic device (ECD), consisting of layers ITO / NiO / ZrO2 / WO3 / ITO using the PVD method. The WO3 is used as an electrochromic layer, NiO as an ion-storage layer, and ZrO2 as a solid electrolyte layer in
