Materials Research Bulletin, 1994Polyindole can be obtained after anodic oxidation of indole C8NH7 in acetonitrile - LiClO4 or LiBF4 solutions. This electroactive material presenting an electrical conductivity close to 10−1 S.cm−1 is green in the doped state and yellow in the reduced form.

Solar Energy Materials, 1987The electrochromic properties of thin films of nickel hydroxide on conductive tin-oxide-coated glass substrates are reported. Adherent, uniform thin films (⩽ 100 nm) which are cathodically electrodeposited from Ni(NO3)2 solution, can be repeatedly colored and bleached electrochemically in a 1M KOH electrolyte.
