Infrared Properties Of Electrochromic Materials

SPIE Proceedings, 1989
Thin films of crystalline LiXWO3 exhibit large increases in infrared reflectance (2-16 μm) on lithium insertion, in keeping with the Drude model of free electron reflectance.

Electrochromic properties of conducting polyanilines

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1989
A study has been made of the electrochromic behaviour of polyaniline films of potential use in passive display devices, and a preliminary examination of the properties of substituted polyanilines has also been carried out. Films of 'emeraldine-type' conducting polyanilines have been grown electrochemically from aqueous solutions onto glass substrates ...

Electrochromic properties of polycarbazole films

Polymer, 1997
An attempt has been made to investigate the electrochromic properties of polycarbazole (PCARB) films. Both the electrochemical current response and optical transmittance of an electrochromic cell fabricated using PCARB electrochemically deposited onto an indium-tin-oxide (ITO) glass as an anode and platinum as a cathode have been experimentally ...

Electrochromic Properties Of Phosphotungstic Acid

SPIE Proceedings, 1989
The electrochromic behavior of phosphotungstic acid (PWA), a heteropoly compound was investigated. The electrochemical and in-situ spectroelectrochemical measurements showed that by electrochemical oxidation and reduction, phosphotungstic acid can be bleached and colored, respectively.

The synthesis and electrochemical properties of anodic electrochromic materials phenothiazine derivatives and their electrochromic devices

Displays, 2010
Abstract In order to develop novel electrochromic materials, a series of N-substituted phenothiazine derivatives (PDs) were synthesized via S N 2 reaction and characterized by NMR, IR spectroscopy. Their electrochemical properties were investigated using cyclic voltammetry and their spectrochemical properties were examined by UV–vis spectroscopy.

Ligand Impact on Monolayer Electrochromic Material Properties

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2018
In this study, we present a range of efficient highly durable electrochromic materials that demonstrate excellent redox and lifetime stability, sufficient coloration contrast ratios, and the best-in-class electron-transfer constants. The materials were formed by anchoring as little as a monolayer of predefined iron complexes on a surface-enhanced ...

Electrochromic properties of dodecyclbenzenesulfonate doped poly(pyrrole)

Electrochimica Acta, 1993
Abstract The galvanostatic synthesis of dodecylbenzenesulfonate doped poly(pyrrole), PPYDBS, on ITO electrodes produces homogeneous films which show a color change from yellow to dark blue when cycled in aqueous KCl between −0.75 and 1.00 V (vs. sce ).

Designed Synthesis of Ferrocenylanthraquinones and Their Bifunctional Electrochromic Properties

Organic Letters, 2010
New bifunctional electrochromic systems were developed by combination of reductive anthraquinone with oxidative ferrocene redox systems. The resultant ferrocenylanthraquinones demonstrated enhanced stability in electrochromic performance through the concomitant reductive electrochromism and oxidative counting action. The displayed colors were dependent

Multicolored near-infrared electrochromic polyimides: Synthesis, electrochemical, and electrochromic properties

Dyes and Pigments, 2013
Abstract A novel series of multicolored near-infrared electrochromic aromatic polyimides have been synthesized by a conventional two-step polymerization process. All polymers displayed outstanding thermal stability, i.e. 20 wt% loss in excess of 593 °C in nitrogen and high char yields (higher than 68% at 750 °C). In addition, the polymer films showed

Polysulfurated Pyrene‐Cored Dendrimers: Luminescent and Electrochromic Properties

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2008
AbstractWe have synthesized a novel class of dendrimers, consisting of a polysulfurated pyrene core with appended poly(thiophenylene) dendrons (PyG0, PyG1, and PyG2, see Scheme 1), which exhibit remarkable photophysical and redox properties. In dichloromethane or cyclohexane solution they show a strong, dendron‐localized absorption band with a maximum ...
