Multicolored near-infrared electrochromic polyimides: Synthesis, electrochemical, and electrochromic properties

Dyes and Pigments, 2013
Abstract A novel series of multicolored near-infrared electrochromic aromatic polyimides have been synthesized by a conventional two-step polymerization process. All polymers displayed outstanding thermal stability, i.e. 20 wt% loss in excess of 593 °C in nitrogen and high char yields (higher than 68% at 750 °C). In addition, the polymer films showed

Polysulfurated Pyrene‐Cored Dendrimers: Luminescent and Electrochromic Properties

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2008
AbstractWe have synthesized a novel class of dendrimers, consisting of a polysulfurated pyrene core with appended poly(thiophenylene) dendrons (PyG0, PyG1, and PyG2, see Scheme 1), which exhibit remarkable photophysical and redox properties. In dichloromethane or cyclohexane solution they show a strong, dendron‐localized absorption band with a maximum ...

Electrochromic Properties of the Multicolored Polyaniline Nanofilms

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
In this paper, electrochemical polymerization method was used to prepare electrochromic PANI films with different thicknesses via changing the polymerization time. It is found that the obtained PANI films are uniform and have good adherence with the ITO bases.

Synthesis and Electrochromic Properties of Soluble Polythiophenes

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
Two kinds of 3-alkoxythiophene monomers were synthesized by the nucleophilic substitution and transetherification reactions. Soluble conjugated polymers based on 3-alkoxythiophene were synthesized by electrochemical polymerization. The process of the electrochemical polymerization, electrochemical redox behaviors and electrochromis of the polymer were ...

Improving electrochromic properties via copolymerization

Smart Materials and Structures, 2010
Copolymers of 5,8-di(1H-pyrrol-2-yl)-2,3-di(thiophen-2-yl)quinoxaline (PTQ) in the presence of 2, 2'-bis(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (BiEDOT) and 4,7-bis(2,3-dihydrothieno[3,4-b][1,4]dioxin-5-yl)-2-dodecyl-2H-benzo[1,2,3] triazole (BEBT) were synthesized via the potentiodynamic method in a tetrabutylammonium perchlorate/dichloromethane (TBAP/DCM) (0.1 ...

Electrochromic Properties of Tetracyanohexatriene Push‐Pull Chromophores

Chemistry – An Asian Journal
ABSTRACT Tetracyanoethene (TCNE)‐integrated π‐systems exhibit strong donor‐acceptor (D–A) interactions and display intriguing optical and electronic properties, making them ideal candidates for electrochromism. However, such studies have never been carried out.

The Preparation and Electrochromism Property of Vanadium Pentoxide

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
The V2O5 films were prepared by the (radio frequency)RF sputtering. The transmission of the samples under different deposition pressures and different Ar/O2 flow ratios was investigated to determine the fundamental preparation condition for the further analysis. On the fundamental condition, the security volt of V2O5 was determined.

The electrochromic properties of lutetium and other phthalocyanines

Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry and Interfacial Electrochemistry, 1982
Abstract The electrochemical properties of thin films of metal phthalocyanines on conducting substrates are investigated. The electrochromism of lutetium diphthalocyanine is discussed and a film electrode model is proposed based on an irreversible charge transfer step.

Electrochromic properties of tunsgten trioxide nanostructures

2013 IEEE 63rd Electronic Components and Technology Conference, 2013
WO3 is the most widely studied electrochromic material because of its high colouration efficiency and high cyclic stability. Use of tungsten hexachloride as precursor synthesizes the highly porous WO3 nanowire networks by hydrothermal method. Color efficiency of 120.3 cm2 C-1 during the coloration/bleaching process, high transmittance contrast(57 ...

Conducting copolymers of polytetrahydrofuran and their electrochromic properties

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2005
AbstractLiving polytetrahydrofuran (PTHF) was terminated with sodium thiophene methonate to yield a polymer with a thiophene group at one end. Copolymerizations of PTHF with pyrrole and thiophene were achieved in water‐p‐toluene sulfonic acid and acetonitrile‐tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate (TBAFB) solvent‐electrolyte couples via constant ...
