This perspective article explores an innovative powder metallurgical approach to producing high‐nitrogen steels by utilizing a mixture of stainless steel and Si3N4. This mixture undergoes hot isostatic pressing followed by direct quenching. The article also examines adapting this method to laser powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB/M) to overcome nitrogen ...

Using electropolymerization based doping for electro-addressable functionalization of a multi-electrode array probe for nucleic acid detection [PDF]
Here, we report a facile method for electro-addressable functionalization of a probe comprising of closely spaced three individually addressable carbon fiber electrodes for detection of nucleic acids. First, a multi electrode array probe comprising three adjacent carbon fiber electrodes was fabricated through pulling a three-barrel glass capillary with

Nonlinearity and Domain Switching in a 3D‐Printed Architected Ferroelectric
By combining functional properties measurement with in situ 2D X‐ray microdiffraction experiments, it is shown that nonlinear polarization and strain responses of a 3D‐printed architected ferroelectric are driven by localized progression of domain switching, which depends on nonuniform electric‐field distribution as well as evolving stress fields.

Quantifying the effect of electrical conductivity on the rate-performance of nanocomposite battery electrodes [PDF]
While it is well-known that electrode conductivity has a critical impact on rate-performance in battery electrodes, this relationship has been quantified only by computer simulations. Here we investigate the relationship between electrode conductivity and rate-performance in Lithium-Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt-Oxide (NMC) cathodes filled with various ...
