Defluoridation of Morocco drinking water by electrocoagulation/electroflottation in an electrochemical external-loop airlift reactor [PDF]
An innovative application of external-loop airlift reactors as electrocoagulation/electroflotation cells with Al electrodes for defluoridation of drinking water was developed.

This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...

On the crucial influence of some supporting electrolytes during electrocoagulation in the presence of aluminum electrodes [PDF]
The influence of some supporting electrolytes on aluminum electrode oxidation and pH variation during electrocoagulation of an unskimmed milk sample and a cutting oil emulsion has been investigated.

High‐frequency (HF) welding of steel is limited by oxide inclusions that degrade weld quality. This study demonstrates, for the first time, the integration of a nonthermal Ar/H2 dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma jet into HF welding. Local plasma treatment provides effective shielding and in‐situ oxide reduction, resulting in markedly fewer and ...

Controlling the TiN Electrode Work Function at the Atomistic Level: A First Principles Investigation
The paper reports on a theoretical description of work function of TiN, which is one of the most used materials for the realization of electrodes and gates in CMOS devices. Indeed, although the work function is a fundamental quantity in quantum mechanics

Handbook of Establishing and Maintaining Oxygen‐Free Atmospheres
This study presents a practical framework for creating oxygen‐free atmospheres at ambient pressure using silane‐doped inert gases. The results show that ultra‐low oxygen levels and strongly reduced water content can be achieved through controlled silane dosing, drying systems, and sensor monitoring.

Hydrodynamic Voltammetry with Channel Electrodes: Microdisk Electrodes
Both the strongly implicit procedure and the alternating direction implicit finite difference (ADI) technique are used to simulate mass transport to a microdisc electrode located in a channel flow, taking account of diffusion in three dimensions and the parabolic laminar convective flow over the electrode surface.

A hierarchical porous copper current collector is fabricated via three‐dimensional printing combined with pressureless sintering to stabilize lithium metal anodes. The interconnected architecture lowers local current density, guides uniform Li deposition within pores, and suppresses dendrite growth.

Chronoamperometry at Channel Electrodes: Theory of Double Electrodes
A theoretical treatment is presented which permits the computation of transient effects at double-channel electrodes. In particular, the current response of a downstream «detector» electrode to a potential step at an upstream «generator» electrode is established, and it is shown that such experiments can provide unique information both about the ...
