Rectal Probe Electroejaculation of Primates
Journal of Medical Primatology, 1978The technique of rectal probe electroejaculation has been developed to permit collection of semen using equipment proven safe, simple, and effective on the 30 primate species so far tested. This paper provides information on the construction and operation of this equipment, together with electrical parameters applicable to primate species.

ELECTROEJACULATION OF THE PARAPLEGIC MALE FOLLOWED BY PREGNANCY
Medical Journal of Australia, 1975A method is described for the production of an ejaculate the paraplegic male by electrical stimulation from a probe placed in the rectum. A case is reported in which an ejaculate produced by this method was used to inseminate the wife of a paraplegic patient. Pregnancy resulted, but the infant died.

Semen Collection by Electroejaculation in the Domestic Cat
Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, 1978SUMMARY A procedure for electroejaculation of domestic cats was developed. The method involved anesthetization of adult male cats with ketamine HCl (33 mg/kg) or CI 744 (5.5 mg/kg). Optimal results were obtained with a 120-V ac electric stimulator capable of a continuous range of 0 to 60 V and 0 to 1 A.

Functional Characteristics of Sperm Obtained by Electroejaculation
Journal of Urology, 1992Sperm obtained by electroejaculation in 32 anejaculatory men were examined for functional characteristics. Raw specimens showed high sperm counts but motility averaged only 11%. Average viability was 10% for antegrade and 5% for retrograde fractions. Bovine cervical mucus penetration was normal (30 mm.

The use of propofol for electroejaculation in domestic cats
Theriogenology, 2006The objective was to evaluate the use of propofol as an anesthetic drug for electroejaculation in the domestic cat. Cortisol concentrations, heart rates and respiratory rates of 20 male domestic cats were examined. The animals were randomly allocated into three groups.

Semen collection from mice: electroejaculation
Reproduction, Fertility and Development, 2002The effects of device type (electrostimulator, function generator or computer-generated waveforms), waveform (square, triangle or sine wave), probe type (ring or strip) and anaesthetic compound (ketamine/xylazine combination or pentobarbitone sodium) were investigated on electroejaculation (EEJ) responses of C57Bl × CBA and C57Bl/6J mice.

Collection of mouse semen by electroejaculation
The Anatomical Record, 1966AbstractLiquid and coagulated ejaculates were collected separately from mice by electroejaculation. Sperm concentrations in the liquid ejaculates from 51 animals ranged between 25,000 and 2,228,000/mm3 and total number of spermatozoa per ejaculate between 60,000 and 5,464,000.

Reproduction in Domestic Animals, 2010
ContentsElectroejaculation (EE) is a technique widely used to collect semen in ruminants, which produces a stress response with negative effects on animal welfare. The aim of this paper was to characterize the stress response during conventional EE in rams that have been frequently electroejaculated. Blood samples were collected since 20 min before and

Electroejaculation of paraplegic males followed by pregnancies
Fertility and Sterility, 1987Semen obtained by electroejaculation was used to achieve pregnancies in the spouses of T5-6 and T4-5 paraplegics. Viable semen was recovered in both an antegrade and retrograde fashion. In both cases, the SPA test was positive. Semen recovered for AIH IUI was washed and swum up prior to insemination.
