Electroejaculation: A state of the art review

Current Sexual Health Reports, 2007

An electroejaculator for the collection of semen from the domestic cat

Theriogenology, 1983
An electroejaculator for the collection of cat semen and for the evaluation of electroejaculation protocols is described. The electroejaculator contains an adjustable signal generator and allows for the precise control and monitoring of the electrical stimulus to the animal. Electroejaculation Does Not Impair Sperm Motility in the Beagle Dog: A Comparative Study of Electroejaculation and Collection by Artificial Vagina

Journal of Urology, 1994
Sperm samples obtained by electroejaculation (EEJ) in men with anejaculatory infertility have a markedly lower quality than those obtained by normal ejaculation. An electrical effect of the EEJ procedure has been implicated by some investigators as a direct cause of low sperm quality.

Some Characteristics of Deer Semen Collected by Electroejaculation

Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, 1970
SUMMARY Semen samples obtained by electroejaculation from 11 male white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) were highly concentrated and of low volume. These characteristics were similar to those of ovine semen. Morphologic characteristics of spermatozoa closely resembled those of domesticated ruminants, and abnormalities noticed were also similar.

Treatment of anejaculation with electroejaculation.

Acta urologica Belgica, 1993
Male infertility caused by anejaculation is common after spinal cord injury (SCI) and following retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND) for testicular cancer. Other conditions sometimes associated with neurogenic ejaculation loss are diabetes mellitus, multiple sclerosis, extensive pelvic surgery and adult myelodysplasia.

Penile Vibratory Stimulation and Electroejaculation

1997
Ejaculatory dysfunction is an uncommon cause of male infertility. In Dubin and Amelar’s1 classic paper on causes of male sexual dysfunction, only 2% of men presenting for treatment of subfertility were diagnosed with ejaculatory dysfunction as the cause.
