Nifedipine pretreatment for autonomicdysreflexia during electroejaculation [PDF]

Ten spinal-cord-injured males who exhibited autonomic dysreflexia during electroejaculation were given sublingual calcium channel blocker nifedipine pretreatment to prevent this complication. Nifedipine was successful in decreasing peak systolic, diastolic, and mean blood pressures during the procedure.

SUMMARYA method of electroejaculation for tomcats is described. Normal sperm counts in 4 cats ranged from 6 to 13 times 10Vejaculate. There was a great deal of variation between collections from the same cat indicating the necessity for at least 5 collections when assessing the fertility of a tomcat.
