Electrokinetic Phenomena in Pencil Lead-Based Microfluidics
Fabrication of microchannels and associated electrodes to generate electrokinetic phenomena often involves costly materials and considerable effort. In this study, we used graphite pencil-leads as low cost, disposable 3D electrodes to investigate various

A transpiration‐inspired Janus nanofiber membrane creates a persistent dry‐wet interface that couples localized solar heating with hydration‐induced ion regulation. The asymmetric architecture sustains directional water and ion transport, suppresses salt accumulation, and enables simultaneous seawater evaporation and stable electricity generation ...

ABSTRACT Enhancing oil recovery (EOR) in mature reservoirs is hindered by high interfacial tension (IFT) and oil‐wet rock formations, especially under harsh, high‐salinity conditions. This study aims to overcome these limitations by synthesizing a novel carbon nanotube nanocomposite covalently grafted with polyethylenimine and non‐covalently ...

Regenerative perfusion bioreactor for biologics production with lower COGs
Abstract Perfusion bioreactor systems enable intensified bioprocessing with high cell densities and volumetric productivities in monoclonal antibody (mAb) manufacturing. However, their widespread adoption remains constrained by the high consumption of chemically defined cell culture media.

Electrokinetic Properties of Perlite
Abstract Electrokinetic properties of expanded and unexpanded perlite samples have been investigated using the microelectrophoresis technique. Perlite samples yield practically no isoelectric point in the pH range of 3 to 11. Both of the perlite samples remain negatively charged in the pH range studied.
