Angiotensin 1-7 administration alters baroreflex sensitivity and renal function in sympathectomized rats [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Nephropathology, 2018
Background: Renin-angiotensin system (RAS) plays an important role in cardiovascular and kidney functions to regulate the systematic blood pressure.

Role of Mas Receptor Antagonist A799 in Renal Blood Flow Response to Ang 1-7 after Bradykinin Administration in Ovariectomized Estradiol-Treated Rats

open access: yesAdvances in Pharmacological Sciences, 2015
Background. The accompanied role of Mas receptor (MasR), bradykinin (BK), and female sex hormone on renal blood flow (RBF) response to angiotensin 1-7 is not well defined. We investigated the role of MasR antagonist (A779) and BK on RBF response to Ang 1-

Benchmarking conductivity predictions of the Advanced Electrolyte Model (AEM) for aqueous systems [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of The Electrochemical Society, (2020) 167 013514, 2019
High-concentration aqueous electrolytes have shown promise as candidates for a safer, lower-cost battery system. Ionic conductivity is a key property required in high performing electrolytes; the Advanced Electrolyte Model (AEM) has previously shown great accuracy in predicting ionic conductivity in highly-concentrated non-aqueous electrolytes.

Vascular Response to Graded Angiotensin II Infusion in Offspring Subjected to High-Salt Drinking Water during Pregnancy: The Effect of Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Urine Output, Endothelial Permeability, and Gender

open access: yesInternational Journal of Vascular Medicine, 2014
Introduction. Rennin-angiotensin system and salt diet play important roles in blood pressure control. We hypothesized that the high-salt intake during pregnancy influences the degree of angiotensin-dependent control of the blood pressure in adult ...

Renal blood flow and vascular resistance responses to angiotensin II in irreversible and reversible unilateral ureteral obstruction rats; the role of angiotensin II type 1 & 2 receptors [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Nephropathology, 2018
Background: Unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO) alters the expression of renin-angiotensin system (RAS) components and angiotensin II (Ang II) as the main arm of RAS is affected by UUO.
