Hidden momentum and the Abraham-Minkowski debate [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. A 95, 043804 (2017), 2016
We use an extended version of electrodynamics, which admits the existence of magnetic charges and currents, to discuss how different models for electric and magnetic dipoles do or do not carry hidden momentum under the influence of external electromagnetic fields.

A New Perspective on the Reactive Electromagnetic Energies and Q factors of Antennas

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
It is required to calculate the stored reactive energy of an antenna in order to evaluate its Q factor. Although it has been investigated for a long time, some issues still need further clarification.

Multi-Variant Scheduling of Critical Time-Triggered Communication in Incremental Development Process: Application to FlexRay [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 68(1):155-169, Jan 2019, 2019
The portfolio of models offered by car manufacturing groups often includes many variants (i.e., different car models and their versions). With such diversity in car models, variant management becomes a formidable task. Thus, there is an effort to keep the variants as close as possible.

Relational electromagnetism and the electromagnetic force [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
The force exerted by an electromagnetic body on another body in relative motion, and its minimal expression, the force on moving charges or \emph{Lorentz' force} constitute the link between electromagnetism and mechanics. Expressions for the force were produced first by Maxwell and later by H. A. Lorentz, but their expressions disagree.

Division of the momentum of electromagnetic waves in linear media into electromagnetic and material parts [PDF]

open access: yesOpt. Express 18, 2258 (2010), 2009
It is proposed a natural and consistent division of the momentum of electromagnetic waves in linear, non-dispersive and non-absorptive dielectric and magnetic media into material and electromagnetic parts. The material part is calculated using directly the Lorentz force law and the electromagnetic momentum density has the same form than in vacuum ...

IGBT’s ageing and its impacts on the EM conducted emissions [PDF]

open access: yes
IGBTs play crucial roles in various power electronic applications, demanding reliability over extended periods. Understanding their failure mechanisms is vital for manufacturers and engineers. This study addresses gaps by correlating IGBT degradation,

Lossy chaotic electromagnetic reverberation chambers: Universal statistical behavior of the vectorial field [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. E 93, 032108 (2016), 2015
The effective Hamiltonian formalism is extended to vectorial electromagnetic waves in order to describe statistical properties of the field in reverberation chambers. The latter are commonly used in electromagnetic compatibility tests. As a first step, the distribution of wave intensities in chaotic systems with varying opening in the weak coupling ...

Electromagnetic compatibility overview [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
An assessment of the electromagnetic compatibility impact of the Satellite Power System is discussed. The discussion is divided into two parts: determination of the emission expected from SPS including their spatial and spectral distributions, and ...

Ontology‐Based Data Acquisition, Refinement, and Utilization in the Development of a Multilayer Ferrite Inductor

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Multilayer ferrite inductor prototypes are fabricated by cofiring metallized tapes of NiCuZn ferrite and glass‐ceramic composite. Prerequisites for a predictive component simulation are discussed. An automated data‐pipeline stores and semantically links the experimental data acquired in the study according to a domain ontology.
