Sustainable Synthesis of Bio‐Based Magnetic and Conductive Wood for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A wood‐based magnetic and conductive material called Magwood (MW), capable of blocking almost 99.99% of electromagnetic waves (in the X‐band frequency range), is synthesized using a simple, solvent‐free process. MW is lightweight, resists water, and is flame‐retardant, making it a promising alternative for shielding electronics. The rapid proliferation

Eddy current loss calculation and thermal analysis of axial-flux permanent magnet couplers

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
A three-dimensional magnetic field analytical model of axial-flux permanent magnet couplers is presented to calculate the eddy current loss, and the prediction of the copper plate temperature under various loads is analyzed.

Drag force in SYM plasma with B field from AdS/CFT [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We investigate drag force in a thermal plasma of N=4 super Yang-Mills theory via both fundamental and Dirichlet strings under the influence of non-zero NSNS $B$-field background.

Low-Field Phase Diagram of Layered Superconductors: The Role of Electromagnetic Coupling

open access: yes, 1995
We determine the position and shape of the melting line in a layered superconductor taking the electromagnetic coupling between layers into account. In the limit of vanishing Josephson coupling we obtain a new generic reentrant low-field melting line ...

Non Thermal‐Driven Photocatalytic Ammonia Decomposition at Near‐Room Temperature on a Plasmonic Nanocone Array

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Plasmonic photocatalytic ammonia decomposition occurs at near‐room temperature on a plasmonic Au nanocone array under visible light illumination. The nanostructure efficiently harnesses plasmonic modes, leading to increased reaction rates upon plasmon decay.

Compressible streaming instabilities in rotating thermal viscous objects

open access: yes, 2009
We study electromagnetic streaming instabilities in thermal viscous regions of rotating astrophysical objects, such as, protostellar and protoplanetary magnetized accretion disks, molecular clouds, their cores, and elephant trunks.
