Perspective: Nanophotonic electro-optics enabling THz bandwidths, exceptional modulation and energy efficiencies, and compact device footprints

open access: yesAPL Materials, 2023
The growth of integrated photonics has driven the need for efficient, high-bandwidth electrical-to-optical (EO) signal conversion over a broad range of frequencies (MHz–THz), together with efficient, high bandwidth photodetection.

Nonlinear Electromagnetic Fields As a Source of Universe Acceleration

open access: yes, 2016
A model of nonlinear electromagnetic fields with a dimensional parameter $\beta$ is proposed. From PVLAS experiment the bound on the parameter $\beta$ was obtained.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

MOFs and COFs in Electronics: Bridging the Gap between Intrinsic Properties and Measured Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise for advanced electronics. However, discrepancies in reported electrical conductivities highlight the importance of measurement methodologies. This review explores intrinsic charge transport mechanisms and extrinsic factors influencing performance, and critically ...

Neutron Acceleration in Uniform Electromagnetic Fields

open access: yes, 1993
The question as to whether neutron acceleration can occur in uniform electromagnetic fields is examined. Although such an effect has been predicted using the canonical equations of motion some doubt has been raised recently as to whether it is in ...

Nanoscale Mapping of Plasmonic Charge Transport in Nano‐Resonators Based on Resistive Switching Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this strategy, a conductive nano‐probe is employed to induce nanoscale phase transitions and map the nanoscale conductivity and trap density of GST films. By utilizing the contrasting properties of phase‐change states, nano‐resonators are fabricated that exhibit plasmonic conduction and dramatically different transport characteristics.

Ultra-Stable Broadband Comb Laser with Tunable Free Spectral Range and Spectra [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
We present a novel near-infrared broadband, flat-top optical frequency comb spanning 1.6 THz. This comb is generated using an interband gain medium operated in an ultrafast gain recovery regime within a unidirectional ring cavity.

The Effect of Purcell Cavities on the Lifetime of Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescent Emitters

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A pressing challenge to OLED displays and lighting is to balance high efficiency and long operational lifetime in the deep blue spectrum. The Purcell effect can reduce the triplet density and hence the probability for destructive energy‐driven triplet annihilation events that limit the OLED lifetime. Here we study of the Purcell effect on two different

Scientific evidence invalidates health assumptions underlying the FCC and ICNIRP exposure limit determinations for radiofrequency radiation: implications for 5G

open access: yesEnvironmental Health, 2022
In the late-1990s, the FCC and ICNIRP adopted radiofrequency radiation (RFR) exposure limits to protect the public and workers from adverse effects of RFR.
