On the role of electromagnetic phenomena in some atmospheric processes [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Processes in Geophysics, 2013
A crucial part of electromagnetic phenomena in many atmospheric processes is verified by systematized data. The multilayered charged system of clouds represents some dynamically equilibrium structure kept by the ionic and polarization forces.

Anomalous radon emanation linked to preseismic electromagnetic phenomena [PDF]

open access: yesNatural Hazards and Earth System Sciences, 2007
Anomalous emanation of radon (222Rn) was observed preceding large earthquakes and is considered to be linked to preseismic electromagnetic phenomena (e.g.

Visualization of transient electromagnetic phenomena [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
The conference consists of two different parts but with the common factor that in both are explained visually, reducing mathematical details to a minimum (which can be found in the referred bibliography below), phenomena related to electromagnetic radiation through images and videos obtained either by analytical, numerical or experimental methods.

An interferometer experiment to explore the aspect angle dependence of stimulated electromagnetic emission spectra [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
International audienceWhen the Earth's ionosphere is irradiated by a radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic wave of sufficiently high power density and tuned to match a natural E- or F-region plasma frequency, ionospheric magnetoionic wave modes may be ...

Analyzing electromagnetic structures with curved boundaries on Cartesian FDTD meshes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
In this paper, a new finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) algorithm is investigated to analyze electromagnetic structures with curved boundaries using a Cartesian coordinate system. The new algorithm is based on a nonorthogonal FDTD method. However, only

Seismo-electromagnetic phenomena in the western part of the Eurasia-Nubia plate boundary [PDF]

open access: yesNatural Hazards and Earth System Sciences, 2011
This paper presents a work that aims to monitor seismo-electromagnetic phenomena in the Western Part of the Eurasia-Nubia Plate Boundary. This region has a significant tectonic activity combined with relatively low electromagnetic noise levels, rendering

Cancer Development and Damped Electromagnetic Activity

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
Cancer can be initiated in a cell or a fibroblast by short-circuiting of the cellular electromagnetic field by various fibers, parasitic energy consumption, virus infections, and mitochondrial defects, leading to a damped cellular electromagnetic field ...

New Framework to Study Electromagnetic Turbulence

open access: yesMagnetism, 2022
Combining a current source involving vortical surface currents in the set of Maxwell’s equations offers a functional framework to address the complex phenomena of electromagnetic turbulence.

Critical Phenomena in the Gravitational Collapse of Electromagnetic Waves [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2019
We numerically investigate the threshold of black-hole formation in the gravitational collapse of electromagnetic waves in axisymmetry. We find approximate power-law scaling $ρ_{\rm max}\sim (η_*-η)^{-2γ}$ of the maximum density in the time evolution of near-subcritical data with $γ\simeq 0.145$, where $η$ is the amplitude of the initial data.
