Electromagnetic Shielding of Monolayer MXene Assemblies
Advanced Materials, 2020AbstractMiniaturization of electronics demands electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding of nanoscale dimension. The authors report a systematic exploration of EMI shielding behavior of 2D Ti3C2Tx MXene assembled films over a broad range of film thicknesses, monolayer by monolayer. Theoretical models are used to explain the shielding mechanism below

Characterization of electromagnetic shield
Proceedings of International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility ELMAGC-97, 1997Most often electromagnetic (EM) shielding components (e.g. gaskets, ventilation panels, housings, etc.) are designed and characterized individually. There are many documented techniques on how to characterize the EM shielding components. However, when all of the shielding components are assembled into an enclosure, the overall EM shielding shows ...

Electromagnetically shielded hearing aid
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1997A behind the ear, in the ear, all in the ear, in the canal, or completely in the canal hearing aid which is made resistant to electromagnetic interference produced by cellular telephones in the 800 MHz to 1000 MHz frequency range. The resultant hearing aid will allow hearing impaired people to take advantage of cellular telephones and other recently ...

Control of electromagnetic waves through electromagnetic shielding
2011 International Conference on Emerging Trends in Electrical and Computer Technology, 2011In this paper, propagation of electromagnetic waves around the shielded enclosure is analyzed through simulation using MATLAB. Also the importance of electromagnetic shielding and the effect of aperture in shielded enclosure are revealed using MATLAB. All electronic equipments emit electromagnetic waves during operation.

Polypyrrole-coated Nonwovens for Electromagnetic Shielding
Journal of Industrial Textiles, 2008Several shielding applications, to protect human health and electronic devices against dangerous effects of electromagnetic radiation, require solutions that fabrics can suitably fulfill. Here, we will discuss the electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness of polypyrrole-coated polyester nonwoven textiles, in the frequency range 100—800 MHz.

Improvement of shielding for electromagnetic compatibility
2016 International Conference on Electronics, Information, and Communications (ICEIC), 2016This paper presents methods to improve the effectiveness of electromagnetic shielding. The slit appears in an enclosure’s surface to ventilate. Slits may also appear due to power supply lines or to serve as a communication link between electronic circuits inside and outside the box.
