Chromatin Packing Domain Engineering Through the Manipulation of Nuclear Cationic States

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Manipulation of intranuclear divalent cation concentrations rapidly and reversibly remodels chromatin packing domains in living cells. Magnesium depletion disrupts domain compaction, heterochromatin organization, and transcriptional regulation, whereas magnesium loading promotes more compact and stable domains.

From Devices to Systems: Integration Strategies for Micro‐Supercapacitors in Microsystems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Micro‐supercapacitors are evolving from device‐level energy storage toward system‐level functional units in integrated microsystems. This Review presents a system‐oriented design framework in which integration serves as the key link between application requirements, system constraints, device architectures, and material selection. Monolithic and hybrid

Voltage‐Reconfigurable Magneto‐Ionic Nanolayers in Dot Arrays for Probabilistic, Materials‐Engineered Security Primitives

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A magneto‐ionic security‐by‐materials‐design strategy exploits voltage‐driven N3– migration in selectively contacted FeCoN dots, creating reconfigurable sub‐15 nm ferromagnetic sublayers with deterministic and/or probabilistic (single‐domain↔vortex) states, voltage‐tunable probabilities and fully stochastic orientation/chirality.

Intrinsic Phonons as a Dynamic Control Knob for Catalytic Reactivity in 2D Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Intrinsic phonon excitations are demonstrated to serve as a dynamic control knob for catalytic reactivity in 2D materials. Mode‐selective lattice vibrations reconstruct the electronic structure, lower oxygen evolution reaction barriers, establishing a phonon‐engineering paradigm for dynamically regulating electrocatalysis beyond conventional static ...

Quantum Electromagnetic Transients Program

IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2021
This letter devises a quantum electromagnetic transients program (QEMTP) which is the first attempt to tackle the computational challenges in solving EMTP through quantum computing. The main contributions lie in: (1) A quantum-enabled EMTP formulation with Dommel's model encoded in quantum states; 2) An Harrow-Hassidim-Lloyd (HHL)-based QEMTP to solve ...

Techniques for analyzing electromagnetic transients

IEEE Computer Applications in Power, 1997
With few exceptions, power system electromagnetic transients must be studied on a three-phase basis rather than on a positive sequence single-phase basis. For example, the three-phase opening of a circuit breaker is no longer a symmetric event in the ms range.

Electromagnetic Transients

2021
This chapter aims at presenting the current international standards and the recent bibliography regarding the transient phenomena associated with space systems, with emphasis on the EMC requirements. The first section of the chapter focuses on the description of the physical mechanisms causing transient electromagnetic phenomena in space.

Firefly Algorithm for Transient Electromagnetic Inversion

IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2022
Transient electromagnetic (TEM) method is widely used in regional mineral resources surveys, environmental engineering geological surveys and shallow surface geophysical exploration, and so on. However, interpretation and inversion of TEM data is a complicated process.
