The transport parameters of an electron swarm and electron energy distribution in Xe, He and (Xe-He) mixtures using Boltzmann equation [PDF]

open access: yesKirkuk Journal of Science, 2012
The Boltzmann transport equation is used to calculate the electron energy distribution function (EEDF) and the transport parameters in pure Xe, He and their mixtures. The electron swarm parameters are evaluated in the range ( ) V.cm2.

Effect of Dental Filling Materials on Electron Beam Radiotherapy Dose Distribution in Head Region: a Monte Carlo Study by FLUKA and MCNPX Codes [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Medical Physics, 2020
Introduction: Radiation therapy is regarded as the mainstay treatment for head or neck cancer patients. In this method, the backscattered radiation of dental composites can damage the surrounding tissue.

Pseudopotential for the electron-electron interaction [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2015
We propose a pseudopotential for the electron-electron Coulomb interaction to improve the efficiency of many-body electronic structure calculations. The pseudopotential accurately replicates the scattering properties of the Coulomb interaction, and recovers the analytical solution for two electrons in a parabolic trap.

CTFFIND4: Fast and accurate defocus estimation from electron micrographs

open access: yesbioRxiv, 2015
CTFFIND is a widely-used program for the estimation of objective lens defocus parameters from transmission electron micrographs. Defocus parameters are estimated by fitting a model of the microscope’s contrast transfer function (CTF) to an image’s ...
