Electron–electron and electron–hole pairing in graphene structures [PDF]
The superconducting pairing of electrons in doped graphene owing to in-plane and out-of-plane phonons is considered. It is shown that the structure of the order parameter in the valley space substantially affects conditions of the pairing. Electron–hole pairing in a graphene bilayer in the strong coupling regime is also considered.

Comparison of Megavoltage Electron Dosimetry Beams in Radiation Therapy Using Different Protocols [PDF]
Background: International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and American Association of physicist in Medicine (AAPM) have introduced new protocols for dosimetry of electron and photon megavoltage beams and increased them to more than five protocols at the ...

CTFFIND4: Fast and accurate defocus estimation from electron micrographs
CTFFIND is a widely-used program for the estimation of objective lens defocus parameters from transmission electron micrographs. Defocus parameters are estimated by fitting a model of the microscope’s contrast transfer function (CTF) to an image’s ...

Analysis of the mineral composition of hypomineralized first permanent molars [PDF]
Background/Aim. Hypomineralization of molars and incisors (molar-incisor hypomineralization - MIH) is defined as enamel hypomineralization of systemic origin of one or more of the four first permanent molars, which may be associated with changes

Correlative light (LM) and transmission electron microscopic (TEM) analysis is useful, if ultrastructural details of cells need to be related to functional aspects which can only be examined at the LM level. The first protocol presented here introduces a relatively simple way of obtaining TEM images which, on the one hand, reveal ultrastructural ...
