Electron–electron and electron–hole pairing in graphene structures [PDF]

open access: yesPhilosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences, 2010
The superconducting pairing of electrons in doped graphene owing to in-plane and out-of-plane phonons is considered. It is shown that the structure of the order parameter in the valley space substantially affects conditions of the pairing. Electron–hole pairing in a graphene bilayer in the strong coupling regime is also considered.

Collision of a Positron with the Capture of an Electron from Lithium and the Effect of a Magnetic Field on the Particles Balance

open access: yesChemosensors, 2021
The processes of scattering slow positrons with the possible formation of positronium play an important role in the diagnosis of both composite materials, including semiconductor materials, and for the analysis of images obtained by positron tomography ...

On the Classical Coupling between Gravity and Electromagnetism

open access: yesAtoms, 2015
Coupling between electromagnetism and gravity, manifested as the distorted Coulomb field of a charge distribution in a gravitational field, has never been observed.

Single-Junction Organic Solar Cell with over 15% Efficiency Using Fused-Ring Acceptor with Electron-Deficient Core

open access: yesJoule, 2019
Summary Recently, non-fullerene n-type organic semiconductors have attracted significant attention as acceptors in organic photovoltaics (OPVs) due to their great potential to realize high-power conversion efficiencies. The rational design of the central

CTFFIND4: Fast and accurate defocus estimation from electron micrographs

open access: yesbioRxiv, 2015
CTFFIND is a widely-used program for the estimation of objective lens defocus parameters from transmission electron micrographs. Defocus parameters are estimated by fitting a model of the microscope’s contrast transfer function (CTF) to an image’s ...

Data transmission by quantum matter wave modulation

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2021
Classical communication schemes exploiting wave modulation are the basis of our information era. Quantum information techniques with photons enable future secure data transfer in the dawn of decoding quantum computers.

Analysis of the mineral composition of hypomineralized first permanent molars [PDF]

open access: yesVojnosanitetski Pregled, 2015
Background/Aim. Hypomineralization of molars and incisors (molar-incisor hypomineralization - MIH) is defined as enamel hypomineralization of systemic origin of one or more of the four first permanent molars, which may be associated with changes

General Analysis of the Reaction e^+ + e^- → N + Ñ + π^0

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics, 2022
The general analysis of the reaction , in the case of longitudinally polarized electron beam, has been performed in the one-photon-nnihilation approximation, accounting for the polarization states of the final nucleon.

Electron Microscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Correlative light (LM) and transmission electron microscopic (TEM) analysis is useful, if ultrastructural details of cells need to be related to functional aspects which can only be examined at the LM level. The first protocol presented here introduces a relatively simple way of obtaining TEM images which, on the one hand, reveal ultrastructural ...
