Simulations of slow positron production using a low energy electron accelerator
Monte Carlo simulations of slow positron production via energetic electron interaction with a solid target have been performed. The aim of the simulations was to determine the expected slow positron beam intensity from a low energy, high current electron

Pepper-pot emittance measurement of laser-plasma wakefield accelerated electrons [PDF]
The transverse emittance is an important parameter governing the brightness of an electron beam. Here we present the first pepper-pot measurement of the transverse emittance for a mono-energetic electron beam from a laser-plasma wakefield accelerator ...

Convergent-beam electron diffraction
Symmetry determination of three-dimensional (usual) crystals, four-dimensional (one-dimensionally incommensurate) crystals and five- and six-dimensional crystals (quasicrystals) by convergent-beam electron diffraction is described and demonstrated using real materials.

Early out-of-equilibrium beam-plasma evolution
We solve analytically the out-of-equilibrium initial stage that follows the injection of a radially finite electron beam into a plasma at rest and test it against particle-in-cell simulations.

Pulsed electron beam induced recrystallization and damage in GaAs [PDF]
Single-pulse electron-beam irradiations of 300-keV 10^(15)Kr+/cm^2 or 300-keV 3×10^(12)Se+/cm^2 implanted layers in unencapsulated GaAs are studied as a function of the electron beam fluence.

Quantitative Analysis of Electron Beam Damage in Organic Thin Films
In transmission electron microscopy (TEM) the interaction of an electron beam with polymers such as P3HT:PCBM photovoltaic nanocomposites results in electron beam damage, which is the most important factor limiting acquisition of structural or chemical ...

Pulsed electron beam precharger [PDF]
Quarter Eight of the Pulsed Electron Precharging project was principally devoted to the operation of the E-beam precharger in the pulsed anode mode. We shall first briefly review the motivation for carrying out this project and the experimental approach used.
