Electrochemical Behavior of Flame‐Sprayed Sc‐Doped AlCoCrFeMo High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings in 3.5% Sodium Chloride Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

The future of topological analysis in experimental charge-density research

open access: yes, 2017
In a recent paper, Dittrich (2017) critically discussed the benefits of analysing experimental electron density within the framework of the quantum theory of atoms in molecules, often called simply the topological analysis of the charge density.

Fluctuations in strongly correlated electron systems

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2018
High transition temperature superconductors in cuprates exhibit the charge-density-wave fluctuations and the ferromagnetic time-reversal-symmetry-breaking fluctuation in the polar Kerr rotation experiments. We demonstrate that they share the same root of

Cathodic Cage Plasma Deposition of Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se Coatings on Poly(methyl Methacrylate)

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se coatings are deposited on PMMA by a modified cathodic cage plasma process, enabling low‐temperature deposition on polymer substrates. A transition from discontinuous to compact morphology is observed with temperature, with optimal properties at 200°C, where improved CuFeSe2‐type bonding, lowest sheet resistance, and favorable ...

Dynamic charge order from strong correlations in the cuprates

open access: yesFrontiers in Electronic Materials
Charge order has been a central focus in the study of cuprate high-temperature superconductors due to its intriguing yet not fully understood connection to superconductivity. Recent advances in resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) in the soft x-ray

High-energy-density electron beam from interaction of two successive laser pulses with subcritical-density plasma

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams, 2016
It is shown by particle-in-cell simulations that a narrow electron beam with high energy and charge density can be generated in a subcritical-density plasma by two consecutive laser pulses.

An Experimental High‐Throughput Approach for the Screening of Hard Magnet Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An entire workflow for the high‐throughput characterization and analysis of compositionally graded magnetic films is presented. Characterization protocols, data management tools and data analysis approaches are illustrated with test case Sm(Fe, V)12 based films.

Natural Bone‐Derived Ceramic Scaffolds Functionalized with Chitosan‐Gold, Chitosan‐Magnesium, and Chitosan‐Zinc for Enhanced Antibacterial Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports the development of antibacterial ceramic scaffolds derived from natural bovine bone. The bones were processed through sequential boiling and hydrogen peroxide treatment to remove organic matter, producing porous, mineral‐rich scaffolds.

Study of compensation process of ion beams

open access: yes, 2005
For investigation of space charge compensation process due to residual gas ionization and the experimentally study of the rise of compensation, a Low Energy Beam Transport (LEBT) system consisting of an ion source, two solenoids, a decompensation ...

Charge-induced spin polarization in thiophene oligomers

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2013
Charge-induced spin polarization in small organic molecules is a key factor for spin transport and magnetic effects in related organic devices. In this work, we study spin polarization in charged thiophene oligomer molecules by calculating the magnetic ...
