This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Effect of solar cell structure on the radiation resistance of an InP solar cell [PDF]
Effects of electron irradiation-induced deep level defects have been studied on both n/p and p/n Indium Phosphide (InP) solar cells with very thin emitters.

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

A comparative study between x-rays and gamma-rays irradiation on electrical characteristics of bipolar junction transistors (BJTS) [PDF]
Irradiation impact of gamma rays and X-rays on bipolar junction transistors (BJTs) in terms of electronic excitation due to transfer of energy and subsequent ionization, as well as energy transfer to atomic nuclei is studied using in-situ method ...

Aged human bmMSCs are seeded in the scaffold. Osteoblastic induction can slightly increase cell's bone‐forming activity to produce bone‐like tissues, shown as the sporadic xylenol orange‐stained spots (the lower left image). Notably, pioglitazone plus EGCG co‐treatment dramatically increases cell's bone‐forming activity and bone‐like tissue production (

The formation of CaSi2 films on Si(111) with the molecular-beam epitaxy (MBE) of CaF2 under fast electron-beam irradiation was investigated. The method of a high-planarity CaSi2 film synthesis assisted by electron-beam irradiation was developed.
