Asymmetries in Processes of Electron–Positron Annihilation [PDF]

open access: yesSymmetry, 2020
Processes of electron–positron annihilation into a pair of fermions were considered. Forward–backward and left–right asymmetries were studied, taking into account polarization of initial and final particles. Complete 1-loop electroweak radiative corrections were included.

Electron-Positron Annihilation in Flight [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review, 1953
The positron-electron annihilation cross section has been measured for 50-, 100-, and 200-Mev incident positron energies. Three small proportional counters in a magnetic field determined the incident electron or positron momentum, and a large scintillation counter immediately behind the absorber indicated the disappearance of a particle.

Seeing radiation: Applications of an imaging survey meter in radiation oncology. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Appl Clin Med Phys
Abstract Background and purpose Radiation shielding surveys require location and evaluation of radiation hotspots in shielding barriers. This process is normally done by using a conventional survey meter and slowly moving the survey meter manually across the face of the barrier.

Charge-Transfer-Mediated Boron Magneto-Ionics: Towards Voltage-Driven Multi-Ion Transport. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh)
This study demonstrates voltage‐driven multi‐ion transport in FeBO systems, revealing simultaneous motion of B, Fe, and O ions enabled by charge‐transfer effects. By tuning oxidation states through oxygen incorporation, we achieve a transition from electrostatic‐like to electrochemical magneto‐ionic behavior. The findings establish boron magneto‐ionics,

Molecular-Level Pore Engineering for Precise Separation via Active Solvent-Mediated Interfacial Polymerization. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh)
We demonstrate that microemulsion solvents can actively template molecular‐level pores within selective layer during interfacial polymerization. By creating localized quasi‐homogeneous polymerization zones, the membrane achieved a 7.1‐fold enhancement in water permeance with increased selectivity.

ALEPH: A detector for electron-positron annihilations at LEP [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 1990
Process-centred Software Engineering Environments (PSEE) are the most recent generation of environments supporting software development activities. Most of PSEE are based on mechanisms promoting enforcement and automation of process activities. In this kind of mechanisms the process models are prescribed in a detailed and complete way.

Gluino production in electron-positron annihilation [PDF]

open access: yesZeitschrift fr Physik C Particles and Fields, 1995
We discuss the pair production of gluinos in electron-positron annihilation at LEP, in a model with soft supersymmetry breaking, allowing for mixing between the squarks. In much of the parameter space of the Minimal Supersymmetric Model (MSSM) the cross section corresponds to a $Z$ branching ratio above $10^{-5}$, even up to $10^{-4}$.

Electron‐Positron Annihilation into Hadrons [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 1973
Theories about the behavior of the ratio σ(e+e− ⇒ γ ⇒ hadrons)σ(e+e− ⇒ γ ⇒ μ+μ−) are reviewed, and qualitative features of the final state hadron distributions are discussed.
