Electronics: The New Differential in the Automotive Industry
2007 44th ACM/IEEE Design Automation Conference, 2007Electronics is delivering huge improvements in automobile safety, efficiency and driver experience. So is the ability to conceive, design and implement electronic systems now the key competitive differentiator for car companies? Or do traditional factors such as styling or manufacturing excellence remain more important?

Generalisation of the concept of electronic differential
Forschung im Ingenieurwesen, 2001In this paper, we present a 3 degree-of-freedom dynamic model of a four-wheel-drive and four-wheel-steering electric vehicle (EV), which, instead of a complex mechanical transmission system, is equipped with an adequate controller known as electronic differential (ED).

Electronic differential analyzers in perspective
Proceedings of the May 6-8, 1958, western joint computer conference: contrasts in computers on XX - IRE-ACM-AIEE '58 (Western), 1958In this paper's contribution to the discussion of Contrasting Tools and Techniques for Simulation, "Electronic Differential Analyzers in Perspective", the emphasis will be on perspective. There is no other field of technical endeavor in which the picture is so often thrown out of focus and distorted by point of view as that which this paper will ...

Differential elastic electron scattering
Canadian Journal of Physics, 1996We present the energy dependence of electron–argon and electron–krypton differential cross sections for elastic scattering, discuss their general characteristics, and compare them with existing equivalent data on positron scattering. The present measurements were stimulated by corresponding positron–heavy rare-gas-atom results.

Electron differential microscopy using an electron trapezoidal prism
Ultramicroscopy, 1999Abstract The new technique of electron differential interferometry and microscopy which is free from the effect of distorted reference waves has been achieved using an electron trapezoidal prism. This new prism, which replaces an electron biprism, makes a hologram with the object wave inclined and the reference wave perpendicular to the image plane ...

An Electronic A.C. Differential Voltmeter
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1950An electronic a.c. differential voltmeter capable of giving a direct reading of the percentage change in voltage in the region of ±10 percent for voltage levels from 1.5 to 150 volts and frequencies between 20 and 200,000 cycles, is presented. The instrument is stable in operation, and simple in design. Experimental observations and circuit details are

Electronic intermediaries: trust building and market differentiation
Proceedings of the 32nd Annual Hawaii International Conference on Systems Sciences. 1999. HICSS-32. Abstracts and CD-ROM of Full Papers, 2003As electronic commerce becomes increasingly popular, new intermediaries are emerging and transforming marketing and distribution channels. Intermediaries in electronic marketplaces provide the IT and business infrastructure to facilitate the completion of commercial transactions over interorganizational computer networks.

Differential evolution for power electronic circuit optimization
2015 Conference on Technologies and Applications of Artificial Intelligence (TAAI), 2015Power electronic circuit (PEC) design and optimization is a significant problem in both scientific and engineering communities. Due to the complex search space of the PEC optimization problem, lots of works have tried to use evolutionary computation (EC) algorithms to solve it, and have gained great progress.

Transactions of the I.R.E. Professional Group on Electronic Computers, 1953
A relay device is described which varies resistance in a stepwise continuous manner in order to approximate arbitrary functions of time. The device can be used with electronic differential analyzers to solve linear differential equations with variable coefficients. Sample solutions of Bessel's equation are included as examples.

Electronic differential design for vehicle side-slip control
This paper introduces a novel electronic differential control method designed to adjust the vehicle sideslip angle. With the new electronic differential on board, the electric car with independent driving motors can achieve a next-to-zero side-slip angle,
