Differential Electron Diffraction
2008A new approach to electron diffraction is presented that eliminates almost all of the inelastic scattering signal without any energy filtering hardware. It makes use of changes in specimen thickness alone to cancel the thickness insensitive signal in electron diffraction patterns and is readily demonstrated in convergent beam electron diffraction (CBED)

A Programmable Electronic Skin with Event‐Driven In‐Sensor Touch Differential and Decision‐Making
Advanced Functional MaterialsHigh‐precise, crosstalk‐free tactile perception offers an intuitive way for informative human‐machine interactions. However, the differentiation and labeling of touch position and strength require substantial computational space due to the cumbersome ...

The Contribution of Electron Microscopy to the Differential Diagnosis of Tumors
Beiträge zur Pathologie, 1976Summary From these selected examples of our own experience, as well as from the results obtained by others (Rosai and Rodriguez, 1968), it must be concluded that electron microscopy can, on occasion, be a significant aid in the accurate diagnosis of various neoplasms.

Differential cross section of electron-positron bremsstrahlung
Physical Review D, 1985A formula is given for the doubly differential cross section of electron-positron bremsstrahlung which is exact in lowest-order perturbation theory. Angular distributions and energy spectra of the emitted photon are computed in the center-of-mass system and in the laboratory system.

The Representation of Constraints by Means of an Electronic Differential Analyzer
IEEE Transactions on Electronic Computers, 1956The use of high gain amplifiers is shown to be helpful in the representation of constraints. This method enables one to represent constrained systems in a manner such that all coordinates are available for the application of arbitrary forces or displacements. The procedure is explained by means of an example.

Electron Paramagnetic Resonance, Optimization and Automatic Differentiation
2002This chapter describes an optimization problem applied to electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy. Levenberg-Marquardt fails to converge using a divided differences Jacobian approximation in single precision, while it succeeds using Odyssée-generated forward mode Jacobian values.
