FIRST-ORDER SELFADJOINT SINGULAR DIFFERENTIAL OPERATORS IN A HILBERT SPACE OF VECTOR FUNCTIONS

open access: yes, 2017
In this article, we give a representation of all selfadjoint extensions of the minimal operator generated by first-order linear symmetric multipoint singular differential expression, with operator coefficient in the direct sum of Hilbert spaces of vector-

Diverse electronic, magnetic, optical and electronic transport properties of the penta-NiN2 nanoribbons: A frst-principles investigation

open access: yesCommunications in Physics
In this work, the structural, electronic, optical, and electronic transport properties of the p-NiN2 nanoribbons with four typical edge shapes of armchair–armchair (AA), sawtooth–sawtooth (SS), zigzag–armchair (ZA), and zigzag–zigzag (ZZ) are fully ...

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Transport through vertical graphene contacts under intense laser fields

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
We theoretically study the electronic and transport properties of two graphene layers vertically coupled by an insulating layer under the influence of a time-periodic external light field.

Pathways and pitfalls: a qualitative study of student experiences in biomedical science education

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Biomedical science students from underrepresented backgrounds face barriers including financial strain, disrupted laboratory access and cultural exclusion. Peer networks provide vital support when institutional systems are difficult to navigate. To create inclusive learning environments and achieve academic success, educators should blend active, hands‐

Analysis of aroma components of red sour soup from main producing areas of Guizhou using electronic nose combined with HS-SPME-GC-MS [PDF]

open access: yesZhongguo niangzao
The volatile flavor components of the red sour soup were determined by electronic nose and headspace solid phase microextraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS). The color parameters of the red sour soup were detected by colorimeter,

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Risk Prediction Models for Recurrence After Curative Treatment of Early‐Stage or Locally Advanced Lung Cancer: A Systematic Review

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
This systematic review synthesizes prognostic models for survival and recurrence in resected non‐small cell lung cancer. While many models demonstrate moderate to good discrimination, few are externally validated and reporting quality is variable, limiting clinical applicability and highlighting the need for robust, transparent model development ...

LYAPUNOV-TYPE INEQUALITIES FOR THIRD-ORDER LINEAR DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

open access: yes, 2017
In this article, we establish new Lyapunov-type inequalities for third-order linear differential equations y `''+q(t)y = 0 under the three-point boundary conditions y(a) = y(b) = y(c) = 0 and y(a) = y `'(d) = y(b) = 0 by bounding Green's functions G (t ...

Eigenvalue comparisons for differential equations on a measure chain [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The theory of u0-positive operators with respect to a cone in a Banach space is applied to eigenvalue problems associated with the second order Δ-differential equation (often referred to as a differential equation on a measure chain) given by yΔΔ(t) + λp(
