Evidence for 2kF electron–electron scattering processes in Coulomb drag [PDF]

open access: yesSolid State Communications, 2002
Measurements and calculations of Coulomb drag between two low density, closely spaced, two-dimensional electron systems are reported. The experimentally measured drag exceeds that calculated in the random phase approximation by a significant, and density dependent, factor.

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Eksistensi Digital Evidence dalam Hukum Acara Perdata

open access: yesJurnal Cakrawala Hukum, 2019
Electronic Evidence Tools can be presented at the hearing as valid evidence and have been regulated separately in the ITE Law. However, in the Civil Procedure Law the formal legality has not been regulated how to show.

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Electronic cigarettes: not evidence-based cessation

open access: yesTranslational Lung Cancer Research, 2019
Despite extensive efforts, smoking remains a modern-day epidemic with profound health consequences. In 1984, Dr. C. Everett Koop, the Surgeon General of the US at that time, presented an important speech on the hazards of smoking. In his speech he stated “ The ultimate goal should be a smoke-free society by the year 2000 .” Unfortunately, we did not ...

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

URGENCY AND MECHANISM OF ELECTRONIC EVIDENCE VALIDATION IN ELECTRONIC COURT EVIDENCE RULES

open access: yesJurnal Hukum Peratun, 2022
This research is trying to explain two legal issues in relation to the submission of electronic evidence in e- Litigation evidence system, those are about the urgency of electronic evidence validation in proving a case and how the ideal mechanism of electronic evidence validation at the e-Litigation proof stage is.

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Cyber Threats in the European Space. Security Measures at the Level of the European Union

open access: yesBulletin of the Transilvania University of Braşov: Series VII: Social Sciences, Law
Cybercrime is taking on new global dimensions, with more and more criminals turning to technological services and tools both to plan and to commit crimes. Electronic evidence is becoming vital to crime fighting, both in tracking and convicting criminals.
