Non-equilibrium Optical Conductivity in Materials with Localized Electronic States

open access: yes, 2014
A wide range of disordered materials contain electronic states that are spatially well localized. In this work, we investigated the electrical response of such systems in non-equilibrium conditions to external electromagnetic field.

Planar peristrophic multiplexing metasurfaces

open access: yesOpto-Electronic Advances, 2023
As a promising counterpart of two-dimensional metamaterials, metasurfaces enable to arbitrarily control the wavefront of light at subwavelength scale and hold promise for planar holography and applicable multiplexing devices. Nevertheless, the degrees of

Electronic polarons in an extended Falicov-Kimball model

open access: yes, 2005
We examine the one-dimensional spinless Falicov-Kimball model extended by a hybridization potential between the localized and itinerant electron states.

MODELLING THE ELECTRON WITH COSSERAT ELASTICITY [PDF]

open access: yesMathematika, 2012
We suggest an alternative mathematical model for the electron in dimension 1+2. We think of our (1+2)-dimensional spacetime as an elastic continuum whose material points can experience no displacements, only rotations. This framework is a special case of the Cosserat theory of elasticity.

Pseudoparticle Description of the 1D Hubbard Model Electronic Transport Properties [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We extend the pseudoparticle transport description of the Hubbard chain to all energy scales. In particular we compute the mean value of the electric current transported by any Bethe-ansatz state and the transport masses of the charge carriers.

Direct white light luminescence from Ho3+/Pr3+ co-doped fluoride fiber with blue diode pumping

open access: yesResults in Optics
White light luminescence induced by a blue diode laser was investigated in a double-clad Ho3+/Pr3+ co-doped ZrF4-BaF2-LaF3-AlF3-NaF (ZBLAN) fiber.

A model for hypermedia learning environments based on electronic books [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Designers of hypermedia learning environments could take advantage of a theoretical scheme which takes into account various kinds of learning activities and solves some of the problems associated with them.

Preferences of Pediatric Patients and Their Caregivers for Chemotherapy‐Induced Nausea and Vomiting Control Endpoints: A Mixed Methods Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.
