Laser‐induced graphene (LIG) provides a scalable, laser‐direct‐written route to porous graphene architecture with tunable chemistry and defect density. Through heterojunction engineering, catalytic functionalization, and intrinsic self‐heating, LIG achieves highly sensitive and selective detection of NOX, NH3, H2, and humidity, supporting next ...

Electronic Noses for Healthcare Applications
Breath analysis allows for monitoring the metabolic processes that occur in human body in a non-invasive way. Comparing with other traditional methods such as blood test, breath analysis is harmless to not only the subjects but also the personnel who collect the samples.

Multivariate analysis methods for veterinary diagnostics using SIFT-MS [PDF]
Selected ion flow tube mass spectroscopy (SIFT-MS) is an analytical method for the investigation of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It produces mass to charge (m/z) ratio ion counts with a range of 10-200 m/z.

Electronic Nose for the Classification of Honeys of Different Floral Origins
The electronic nose contributes, together with other chemical analyses, to identify botanical and geographical origin of honey. Two different honey samples were analysed: Italian Sainfoin (Sulla coronaria (L.) Medik.) and Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus ...

Producing MSCs on rigid culture substrates induces a scar‐making phenotype, jeapordizing therapeutic success. ‘Tissue‐soft’ surfaces prevent MSC fibrogenesis and preserve regenerative traits. An epigenetic network, driven by HOXA11 and SALL1, maintains ‘soft memory’ by keeping chromatin open in relaxed MSCs, promoting anti‐fibrotic programs.

Electronic Noses and Tongues: Applications for the Food and Pharmaceutical Industries
The electronic nose (e-nose) is designed to crudely mimic the mammalian nose in that most contain sensors that non-selectively interact with odor molecules to produce some sort of signal that is then sent to a computer that uses multivariate statistics ...
