Aerosol Jet Printing of a Benzocyclobutene‐Based Ink as Adhesive Material for Wafer Bonding Application

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, 2023
Aerosol jet printing (AJP) is an emerging additive manufacturing technology that is gaining increasing attention in the electronic field. Several studies have been carried out on the AJP of conductive, semiconductive, and dielectric polymers for ...

Adaptation of a Real-Time Deep Learning Approach With an Analog Fault Detection Technique for Reliability Forecasting of Capacitor Banks Used in Mobile Vehicles

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
The DC-Link capacitor is defined as the essential electronics element which sources or sinks the respective currents. The reliability of DC-link capacitor-banks (CBs) encounters many challenges due to their usage in electric vehicles.

4‐nitrobenzoate inhibits 4‐hydroxybenzoate polyprenyltransferase in malaria parasites and enhances atovaquone efficacy

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Atovaquone is an antimalarial requiring potentiation for sufficient efficacy. We pursued strategies to enhance its activity, showing that 4‐nitrobenzoate inhibits 4‐hydroxybenzoate polyprenyltransferase, decreasing ubiquinone biosynthesis. Since atovaquone competes with ubiquinol in mitochondria, 4‐nitrobenzoate facilitates its action, potentiating ...

Photosynthesis under far‐red light—evolutionary adaptations and bioengineering of light‐harvesting complexes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phototrophs evolved light‐harvesting systems adapted for efficient photon capture in habitats enriched in far‐red radiation. A subset of eukaryotic pigment‐binding proteins can absorb far‐red photons via low‐energy chlorophyll states known as red forms.

Characterizing epithelial‐mesenchymal transition‐linked heterogeneity in breast cancer circulating tumor cells at a single‐cell level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In over 50% of non‐metastatic breast cancer patients, circulating tumor cells (CTCs) along the whole epithelial‐mesenchymal transition spectrum are detected. Total CTC number and individual phenotypes relate to aggressive disease characteristics, including lymph node involvement and higher tumor proliferation. At the single‐cell level, mesenchymal CTCs

Liquid metal phase change materials for thermal management of electronics

open access: yesAdvances in Physics: X
With the rapid development of various chips towards high performance and integration, the ‘thermal barrier’ difficulty facing electronic devices has become ever increasingly challenging, while at the same time the space size left for thermal management ...

Tumor and germline testing with next generation sequencing in epithelial ovarian cancer: a prospective paired comparison using an 18‐gene panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Genetic testing in epithelial ovarian cancer includes both germline and tumor‐testing. This approach often duplicates resources. The current prospective study assessed the feasibility of tumor‐first multigene testing by comparing tumor tissue with germline testing of peripheral blood using an 18‐gene NGS panel in 106 patients.

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.
