DISC ELECTROPHORESIS OF IRRADIATED TRYPSIN* [PDF]
Abstract— Trypsin inactivated by u.v. radiation, gamma radiation, visible radiation in the presence of sensitizing dyes, and autolysis, was examined by the method of disc electrophoresis. Untreated Worthington twice crystallized salt‐free trypsin separated into four bands which moved toward the cathode; the main band, which had the greatest mobility ...

Demonstration by disc electrophoresis of the lipoprotein carrying the Lp(a) antigen in human sera.
Acta pathologica et microbiologica Scandinavica. Section B: Microbiology and immunology, 2009We have described a disc electrophoretic method for demonstrating the serum lipoprotein carrying the inherited Lp (a) antigen. This technique offers a supplement, and possibly an alternative, to the immunological method of Lp typing.

Highly purified antithrombin 3 with heparin cofactor activity prepared by disc electrophoresis.
Scandinavian Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigation, 1968Antithrombin III was separated from bovine plasma by chromatography, followed by preparative disc electrophoresis. The specific activity was approximately 700 times that of plasma. The preparations possessed heparin cofactor activity.

Sephadex sandwich disc electrophoresis
Analytical Biochemistry, 1970Abstract A new Sephadex sandwich disc electrophoresis method has been devised for effective resolution of complex macromolecules on the basis of their charge and molecular dimensions. As evidenced by separation of mitochondrial and serum lipoproteins from contaminating proteins, superior resolution of these macromolecules is obtained with this ...

Monoclonal immunoglobulins on disc electrophoresis
Klinische Wochenschrift, 1972A transparent upper gel disc electrophoretic technique was applied for the detection of mono- and oligo-clonal immunoglobulins. This method allows the visualization and densitometrical recording of those proportions of IgG and IgM retained in the upper concentration gel.

A microgel system for disc electrophoresis
Analytical Biochemistry, 1976Abstract Disc electrophoresis has provided a suitable method for separating macromolecules ( Davis, 1964 ; Ornstein, 1964 ). Numerous authors (2,5–10, 12) have presented scaled-down versions which were not directly comparable to the standard separations.
