ELECTRORETINOGRAM IN NYCTALOPIA
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1954THE PRESENCE of distinct defects in the electroretinogram (ERG) in the varying forms of night blindness has been well documented in recent reports. The most conspicuous changes have been recorded from frank cases of primary pigmentary degeneration of the retina.

The Multifocal Electroretinogram
Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology, 2003The multifocal electroretinogram (mfERG) technique allows local ERG responses to be recorded simultaneously from many regions of the retina. As in the case of the full-field ERG, the ganglion cells contribute relatively little to the response, which originates largely from the outer retina.

Steady-state electroretinograms and pattern electroretinograms in pigs
Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology, 2001Electroretinograms (ERG) or pattern-electroretinograms (PERG) could be valuable for the quantification of potential damage to the pig retina by experimental erbium:YAG laser treatment. We therefore performed a normative study of ERGs and PERGs in pigs.We recorded ERGs and PERGs under general anaesthesia in two experiments.

Normal strobe electroretinograms without pattern electroretinograms in albino rats
Documenta Ophthalmologica, 1987Electroretinograms (ERGs) were obtained from pigmented and albino rats to step luminance changes of an unpatterned TV screen. Surround luminance was increased until the ERG became small and focal. In pigmented rats the ERG at on was positive, earlier, and about twice the amplitude of the negative ERG at off.
