Computer-Aided Electroretinography

Ophthalmologica, 2010
A description is given of a system of computer-aided electroretinogram (ERG) analysis. The system is the basis of a new quality in ERG evaluation. The statistical behavior of ERG components in healthy eye subjects is demonstrated by histograms. The new opportunities offered by the method are discussed.

Indications for Clinical Electroretinography

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1958
An electric potential is produced in the retina of the eye, which makes the front of the retina and the cornea electrically positive and the back of the retina and the bulb negative. When the retina is stimulated by light this potential increases, and an electric action potential, the electroretinogram, or ERG, develops.
