Interior regularity to the steady incompressible shear thinning fluids with non-Standard growth
We consider weak solutions to the equations of stationary motion of a class of non-Newtonian fluids which includes the power law model. The power depends on the spatial variable, which is motivated by electrorheological fluids.

Apparent stress-strain relationships in experimental equipment where magnetorheological fluids operate under compression mode [PDF]
: This paper presents an experimental investigation of two different magnetorheological ( MR) fluids, namely, water-based and hydrocarbon-based MR fluids in compression mode under various applied currents.

Electrorheological fluids [PDF]
Electrorheological fluids (ER fluids) are suspensions of fine particles dispersed in an insulating fluid. If the properties of the particles and the fluid are selected properly, the resulting ER fluid can have the remarkable ability to flow like a liquid in its normal state, yet freeze into a gel in an electric field.

On a doubly degenerate parabolic equation with a nonlinear damping term
Consider a double degenerate parabolic equation arising from the electrorheological fluids theory and many other diffusion problems. Let v ε $v_{\varepsilon }$ be the viscous solution of the equation. By showing that | ∇ v ε | ∈ L ∞ ( 0 , T ; L loc p ( x

Soft pneumatic gripper integrated with multi‐configuration and variable‐stiffness functionality
Soft grippers are compliant and self‐adaptive, and can be highly compatible with the surrounding environment in grasping tasks. Currently, most soft pneumatic grippers are developed with a single grasping configuration, which leads to poor universality ...

Limit cycle behavior of smart fluid dampers under closed loop control [PDF]
Semiactive vibration dampers offer an attractive compromise between the simplicity and fail safety of passive devices, and the weight, cost, and complexity of fully active systems.

Nanomechanics of Electrorheological Suspensions with Polymer Dispersed Phase. Quantum-Mechanical Simulation [PDF]
The microscopic structure and mechanical properties of electrorheological fluids in an electric field were investigated by means of quantum-mechanical computer simulation. Modified polyimides were considered as the solid-phase particles.
