This paper deals with the existence of solutions for a new boundary value problem involving mixed generalized fractional derivatives of Riemann‐Liouville and Caputo supplemented with nonlocal multipoint boundary conditions. The existence results for inclusion case are also discussed.

High-voltage electric field treatment is an emerging approach to improve the cold flowability of crude oil, of which the physical principle is the negative electrorheological effect of crude oil other than electric heating and electric field dehydration.

Generality of shear thickening in suspensions [PDF]
Suspensions are of wide interest and form the basis for many smart fluids. For most suspensions, the viscosity decreases with increasing shear rate, i.e. they shear thin. Few are reported to do the opposite, i.e.

Synthesis of TiO2/Pd and TiO2/PdO Hollow Spheres and Their Visible Light Photocatalytic Activity
A series of TiO2, TiO2/Pd, and TiO2/PdO hollow sphere photocatalysts was successfully prepared via a combination of hydrothermal, sol‐immobilization, and calcination methods. The structure and optical properties of the as‐prepared samples were characterized by X‐ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron ...

Electrorheological Properties of Suspensions of Polypyrrole- Coated Titanate Nanorods
The behaviour of silicone-oil suspensions of titanate nanorods coated with polypyrrole base in electric field has been investigated. Unlike suspension of globular particles of neat polypyrrole, rod-like particles show a stronger electrorheological (ER ...

An electro-rheological study of the nematic liquid crystal 4-n-heptyl-4'-cyanobiphenyl [PDF]
An experimental and theoretical study of the electro-rheological effects observed in the nematic phase of 4-n-heptyl-4'-cyanobiphenyl has been conducted. This liquid crystal appears to be a model system, in which the observed rheological behaviour can be

Electrorheological fluids [PDF]
An Electrorheological fluid is normally a low-viscosity colloidal suspension, but when an electric field is applied, the fluid undergoes a reversible transition to a solid, being able to support considerable stress without yield. Commercial possibilities for such fluids are enormous, including clutches, brakes, valves, shock absorbers, and stepper ...

Structure of electrorheological fluids [PDF]
Specially synthesized silica colloidal spheres with fluorescent cores were used as model electrorheological fluids to experimentally explore structure formation and evolution under conditions of no shear. Using confocal scanning laser microscopy we measured the location of each colloid in three dimensions.

Quantifying local characteristics of velocity, aggregation and hematocrit of human erythrocytes in a microchannel flow [PDF]
The effect of erythrocyte aggregation on blood viscosity and microcirculatory flow is a poorly understood area of haemodynamics, especially with relevance to serious pathological conditions.
