Numerical Analysis of Electrorheological Effect

open access: yesNihon Reoroji Gakkaishi(Journal of the Society of Rheology, Japan), 1992
The electrorheological effect found for the suspensions was numerically analyzed by three‐ and two‐dimensional molecular‐dynamics‐like simulations. The shear stress in a uniform shear flow field was calculated from results obtained by the simulations.

Electrorheology of urea-functionalized lathlike goethite particles in silicone oil [PDF]

open access: yes
Electrorheological fluids (ERFs) are smart materials with unique rheological properties tuned by the application of electric fields. Initially discovered in the late 1940s, ERFs have been studied for applications in various fields, including engineering ...

Rheological Behaviour of Pigment Filled Polymer Dispersions: The influence of electric field [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Rheological properties of materials are related to their response to applied stress. The field induced chain formation of a large number of organic and inorganic substances such as starch, aluminium oxide, ferric oxide, carbon black, ion-exchange resins,
