Synthesis and Physical Properties of Salphen‐Conjugated TTF‐Metal Complex [CuII(TTF‐Salphen)]2PF6

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A paramagnetic metal complex, [Cu(TTF‐Salphen)], in which a tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) moiety is conjugated with a Salphen coordination site, was synthesized as a potential candidate for a new π‐d system. Its radical salt, [Cu(TTF‐Salphen)]2PF6, exhibits high electrical conductivity with semiconducting behavior, attributed to its columnar stacking ...

Flexibility‐Aided Orientational Self‐Sorting and Transformations of Bioactive Homochiral Cuboctahedron Pd12L16

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Mimicking concave morphologies found in nature, we have introduced flexible, unsymmetric, tridentate ligand (L) which undergoes coordination self‐assembly into highly organized chiral Pd6L8 or Pd12L16 cages that can undergo interspecific transformations. The cages, being based on natural amphiphilic transport molecules, mediate high cellular uptake and

Extracellular Vesicles in Calcium Oxalate Nephrolithiasis: Emerging Biomarkers and Therapeutic Potential

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Kidney stones cause significant pain and healthcare costs. Current prediction, diagnosis, and treatment options are limited. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), rich in proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids, offer a promising solution. This review explores the roles of EVs in kidney stone management, highlighting their potential as biomarkers and therapeutic ...

De Novo Designed β‐Hairpin Peptides Mimicking the Copper‐Binding Histidine Brace Motif of Lytic Polysaccharide Monooxygenases

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
In this work, the copper‐binding histidine brace (His‐brace) motif found in lytic polysaccharide monooxygenase (LPMO) enzymes was engineered in de novo designed peptides that fold as β‐hairpins (HisPins). Cu‐HisPins complexes showed LPMO‐like activity, including light‐stimulated melanin‐mediated oxidative cellulose degradation.
