Dual‐Site Catalysis in Electrocatalytic C–N Coupling: Challenges and Design Principles

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 11, 3 June 2026.
This review examines dual‐site catalysis in electrocatalytic C─N coupling through four recurring challenges: energetic barriers, kinetic mismatch, selectivity loss, and systemic constraints. It highlights how rationally designed dual‐site catalysts cooperatively lower reaction barriers, synchronize intermediate generation, suppress competing pathways ...

Porous Membrane Electrode Assembly for Electrosynthesis of High‐Purity and High‐Concentration Hydrogen Peroxide

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, Volume 10, Issue 6, June 2026.
Porous proton‐exchange membrane electrolysis enables the synthesis of electrolyte‐free H2O2 at low cell resistance. Optimized Nafion loading to the porous membrane, acid‐treated Co─N─C single‐atom catalysts, and hydrophilic SiO2 achieved H2O2 Faradaic efficiency (FE) of 75% at 100 mA cm−2 with ∼2.3 V.

Electrochemical Hofmann Rearrangement for Modular Synthesis of Unsymmetrical Ureas and Late‐Stage Modification of Drugs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 31, 4 June 2026.
An electrochemical Hofmann rearrangement of amide involving amine or other amide nucleophiles has been developed. The use of NaI guarantees the feasibility and compatibility of the electrosynthesis protocol, which enables highly chemoselective synthesis of unsymmetrical N‐acylureas from two different amides, as well as the production of unsymmetrical ...

Carboxylated Carbon Nanotube‐Supported Copper‐Indium Bimetallic Catalysts for Electroreduction of CO2 to Dimethyl Carbonate via Membrane‐Free Cascade Electrosynthesis

open access: yesCarbon and Hydrogen, Volume 28, Issue 2, Page 226-243, June 2026.
A membrane‐free cascade electrocatalytic system with Cu100In50‐(COOH)CNTs converts CO2 to CO and then couples with alcohols to yield DMC (52.3% FE) and DEC (27.8% FE) via carboxyl‐Cu‐In synergistic regulation of intermediate adsorption. ABSTRACT Under the background of the dual carbon strategy, upgrading CO2 electroreduction from C1 products to high ...
