Rectangular 1014 element matrix array for transperineal imaging

2021 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IUS), 2021
We developed a 2D matrix array for later use in transperineal volumetric ultrasound imaging in the context of radiation dose monitoring. In the envisioned applications, radiation-sensitive microbubbles shall induce changes in the (spectral) reflection behavior of ultrasonic waves.

Log-converting processor element for CCD linear imaging arrays

Applied Optics, 1983
A photosensor element suitable for incorporation into charge-coupled device (CCD) imaging arrays in which the charge injected into the CCD is proportional to the logarithm of incident light intensity is presented. The photosensor element consists of a photodiode directly coupled to a two-stage MOSFET common source amplifier.

64 Elements two-dimensional piezoelectric array for 3D imaging

Ultrasonics, 2002
Ultrasound has a large potential on non-invasive inspection with main applications in medical imaging and non-destructive testing (NDT). The increasing interest in 3D imaging applications leads to investigate new solutions for two-dimensional (2D) ultrasonic arrays with an affordable number of electronic channels without resolution degradation.

Method of generating orthoscopic elemental image array from sparse camera array

Chinese Optics Letters, 2012
We propose a method of generating orthoscopic elemental image array from a sparse camera array. A parallax image array obtained by a sparse camera array provides different perspectives of a real threedimensional (3D) scene, and has all the information the elemental image array needs.

Optimization of the Array Element Layout for a Rotating Imaging Interferometer

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2013
In this paper, after a brief review on the working principles of synthetic aperture radiometers exploiting interferometry and mechanical rotation of the antenna, analytical expressions are provided which allow to easily compute the receiving performance of the interferometer starting from given locations of its sensors.

Imaging with large-aperture arrays with heterogeneous directive elements

IEEE Symposium on Ultrasonics, 2003, 2004
We have developed a new imaging algorithm for optimization of the contrast resolution of large-aperture arrays utilizing directive elements with heterogeneous responses. The algorithm employs depth-dependant pre- and post-beamforming filtering to optimize the SNR of the echo data throughout the imaging field. Sub-aperture processing is also employed to

Large array elements decoding system for ultrasound images

2017 International Conference on Applied System Innovation (ICASI), 2017
This new method eliminates the possibility of false triggering in the traditional signal due to mutual cross between the ultrasonic systems. Such as: the second reflection, ultrasonic probe with the angle of the angle shift and other issues. It is the main principle for the probe geometry position after the dislocation.

An integrated multi-element array transducer for ultrasound imaging

Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 1994
Abstract Much progress has been made towards integrating the electronic circuitry associated with either linear or phased ultrasonic array scanning into the hand-held case of the transducer. The number of wires required to connect the transducer back to the display system has been dramatically reduced and the path length between transducer elements ...

Imaging with a 16 000-element 2-D array

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1999
Imaging with acoustical lenses in the low MHz frequency range using fully populated 2-D arrays offers the potential for high-resolution, real-time, 3D volume imaging, together with low power and low cost. A 2-D composite-piezoelectric receiver array bonded directly to a large custom-integrated circuit is the enabling technology for a new implementation

A 15 element imaging binary array for 100 GHz

IEEE International Digest on Microwave Symposium, 2002
A focal plane imaging array receiver which covers the 90-115-GHz range for radio astronomical observations is described. The 3*5 array uses cryogenic Schottky diode mixers with integrated HEMT (high-electron mobility transistor) IF amplifiers. A cold, quasioptical filter selects the correct sideband, and terminates the image at 20 K.
