Extending the hyper‐logistic model to the random setting: New theoretical results with real‐world applications

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
We develop a full randomization of the classical hyper‐logistic growth model by obtaining closed‐form expressions for relevant quantities of interest, such as the first probability density function of its solution, the time until a given fixed population is reached, and the population at the inflection point.

Novel Bernstein‐Kantorovich Type Operators

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this paper, we introduce a novel class of Bernstein‐Kantorovich operators, denoted as Kβn,θ$$ {K}_{\beta}^{n,\theta } $$, parameterized by 0<β<1$$ 0<\beta <1 $$ and θ>0$$ \theta >0 $$. We first derive a recurrence formula that facilitates the computation of moments and central moments and provide explicit expressions for Kβn,θ(tm;x)$$ {K}_{\

Fragmentation–Coagulation Processes With Advection or Diffusion in Space

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this paper, we consider a continuous fragmentation–coagulation model in which the reacting particles can be transported in physical space through either advection or diffusion. We prove new results on the generation of C0$$ {C}_0 $$‐semigroups with parameter and use them to show that the abstract Cauchy problem associated with a more ...

Hyperbolic Rotations With Hybrid Numbers

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper presents a geometric and algebraic analysis of hyperbolic hybrid numbers, which combine structural features of the complex, dual, and hyperbolic number systems. Based on the algebraic properties of the hybrid number set, hyperbolic rotations in both the plane and space are investigated.

Design, Analysis, and Experimental Validation of a Variable‐Gap Magnetorheological Damper for Seat Suspension

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT To address the dual challenges of routine driving vibration and impact loads in vehicle seat suspensions, a novel variable‐gap magnetorheological damper (VGMRD) is proposed. By combining a tapered piston with a conformal variable‐diameter cylinder, stroke‐dependent, dual‐mode damping characteristics are achieved without the need for complex ...
