Animation of human locomotion using sagittal elevation angles
This paper presents a data-driven procedural model for the kinematic animation of human walking. The use of data yields realistic looking gait, while the procedural model yields flexibility. We present a new motion data representation, the sagittal elevation angles, and present biomechanical evidence that these angles have a stereotyped pattern across ...

New solar elevation angle measuring instrument
Abstract This paper will introduce a new instrument to measure solar elevation angle. This instrument has advantages of simple structure, cheap price and convenient use, and can easily overcome the influence of ground inclination angle on the measurement, which other instruments measuring solar elevation angel fail to realize.

Enhanced monopulse radar tracking using empirical mode decomposition [PDF]
Monopulse radar processors are used to track targets that appear in the look direction beamwidth. The target tracking information (range, azimuth angle, and elevation angle) are affected when manmade high power interference (jamming) is introduced to the

A Method of Measuring TEC at Low Elevation Angles
A radio wave may suffer severe refractional effects at low elevations. Such effects will make the determination of the total electron content (TEC) inaccurate. Recently developed tomography techniques applied to ionospheric imaging would require accurate TEC measurements from overhead to the lowest possible elevation for a good reconstruction.
