Extremely low frequency electromagnetic field generator suitable for plant in vitro studies
The extremely low frequency electromagnetic field (ELF-EMF) occurs naturally from the earth and artificially as a human invention. The objectives of this study were to develop a suitable ELF-EMF generator for in vitro plants culture studies and to ...

Serially-regulated biological networks fully realize a constrained set of functions
We show that biological networks with serial regulation (each node regulated by at most one other node) are constrained to {\it direct functionality}, in which the sign of the effect of an environmental input on a target species depends only on the ...

Rigid‐Flexible Coupling Units Enable Robust Large Birefringence
A rigid–flexible coupling strategy, combining flexible (S3)2− linear units with rigid (VO4)3− tetrahedra, yields Sr4(VO4)2S3—a robust crystal exhibiting large birefringence (Δn = 0.52@550 nm) and remarkable thermal, air, and water stability. ABSTRACT Birefringent crystals are central to polarization control in laser technologies (e.g., wave plates and ...

Express-ability in ELF communication [PDF]
In ELF research, ample evidence has been collected to show that communication in (dialogic) ELF interactions works and that it does so in intriguingly creative ways.

The graphical abstract image of bamboo‐like whisker‐reinforced Ca‐P bioceramics accelerating large segmental bone regeneration. ABSTRACT Regenerative repair of segmental bone defect remains a major clinical challenge. The conventional mental implants suffer from mechanical strength mismatch and long‐term foreign bodies presence.

Reinforcing Oxygen Activation of Spinel Oxide via Mn─O Covalency Engineering for VOCs Oxidation
A MnCo spinel catalyst with weakened Mn─O covalency was synthesized via a hard‐template method. The reduced Mn─O covalency facilitates localized electron redistribution, promoting the activation of both molecular oxygen and lattice oxygen, and thereby enabling the efficient and complete oxidation of VOCs (ethyl acetate, toluene, and propane).
