We seek the best size estimates of the asteroid (21) Lutetia, the direction of its spin axis, and its bulk density, assuming its shape is well described by a smooth featureless triaxial ellipsoid, and to evaluate the deviations from this assumption ...

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Symphonic map from ellipsoid to ellipsoid
In this paper, we proved the existence of Symphonic map from ellipsoid to ellipsoid. We also geive give Hopf construction of Symphonic map from ellipsoid to ellipsoid.

On the Minimum Volume Covering Ellipsoid of Ellipsoids [PDF]
Let ${\cal S}$ denote the convex hull of $m$ full-dimensional ellipsoids in $\mathbb{R}^n$. Given $\epsilon > 0$ and $\delta > 0$, we study the problems of computing a $(1+ \epsilon)$-approximation to the minimum volume covering ellipsoid of ${\cal S}$ and a $(1 + \delta)n$-rounding of ${\cal S}$.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Experimental validation of quantum steering ellipsoids and tests of volume monogamy relations
The set of all qubit states that can be steered to by measurements on a correlated qubit is predicted to form an ellipsoid---called the quantum steering ellipsoid---in the Bloch ball.

Targeting p38α in cancer: challenges, opportunities, and emerging strategies
p38α normally regulates cellular stress responses and homeostasis and suppresses malignant transformation. In cancer, however, p38α is co‐opted to drive context‐dependent proliferation and dissemination. p38α also supports key functions in cells of the tumor microenvironment, including fibroblasts, myeloid cells, and T lymphocytes.

This work considers the Minkowski sum of an N-dimensional ellipsoid and hyperrectangle, a combination that is extremely relevant due to the usage of ellipsoid-adjacent primitives in computer graphics for work such as 3D Gaussian splatting.

Measuring the Water Level Datum Relative to the Ellipsoid During Hydrographic Survey [PDF]
Hydrographic surveys are referenced vertically to a local water level “chart” datum. Conducting a survey relative to the ellipsoid dictates a datum transformation take place before the survey is used for current navigational products.
