On 12-congruences of elliptic curves

open access: yesInternational Journal of Number Theory, 2023
We construct infinite families of pairs of (geometrically non-isogenous) elliptic curves defined over [Formula: see text] with [Formula: see text]-torsion subgroups that are isomorphic as Galois modules. This extends previous work of Chen and Fisher where it is assumed that the underlying isomorphism of [Formula: see text]-torsion subgroups respects ...

Smart Rubber Extrusion Line Combining Multiple Sensor Techniques for AI‐Based Process Control

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This publication presents a digitalization approach for a laboratory rubber extrusion line, employing innovative measurement methods and artificial intelligence (AI)‐based process control. The results demonstrate that the measurement systems are capable of detecting changes in the process and extrudate quality.

Elliptic dilogarithms and parallel lines [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
We prove Boyd's conjectures relating Mahler's measures and values of L-functions of elliptic curves in the cases when the corresponding elliptic curve has conductor 14.

Partitioning and Coarsening Dynamics of Precipitate‐Strengthened Cr‐Si Alloys: The Role of Ge, Pt, and Mo

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The microstructure of Cr‐rich Cr‐Si‐alloys is maintained by alloying with Ge, Pt, and Mo. The effects of these elements on A15‐phase fraction, partitioning, microstructural stability, grain size, and hardness are combinable. Molybdenum is found to be the most promising alloying element for microstructural stability during high‐temperature exposure.

Mechanisms of De‐icing by Surface Rayleigh and Plate Lamb Acoustic Waves

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Ice accretion impacts daily life, renewable energy generation, maintenance, and security in industries and aeronautics. Acoustic waves (AW) are a promising method for ice removal, although de‐icing mechanisms require further investigation to optimize energy efficiency.

On the stratification by X-ranks of a linearly normal elliptic curve X ⊂ P^n

open access: yesLe Matematiche, 2015
Let X⊂ P^n be a linearly normal elliptic curve. For any P in P^n the X-rank of P is the minimal cardinality of a set S ⊂  X such that P in \langle S \rangle.In this paper we give an almost complete description of the stratification of P^n given by the X ...

Hardware Accelerators for Elliptic Curve Cryptography [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Radio Science, 2008
In this paper we explore different hardware accelerators for cryptography based on elliptic curves. Furthermore, we present a hierarchical multiprocessor system-on-chip (MPSoC) platform that can be used for fast integration and evaluation of novel ...

Topic In Elliptic Curves Over Finite Fields: The Groups of Points [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
This article is a short introduction to the theory of the groups of points of elliptic curves over finite fields. It is concerned with the elementary theory and practice of elliptic curves cryptography, the new generation of public key systems. The material and coverage are focused on the groups of points of elliptic curves and algebraic curves, but ...

Enhancing Corrosion Resistance and Mechanical Strength of 3D‐Printed Iron Polylactic Acid for Marine Applications via Laser Surface Texturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser surface texturing significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of 3D‐printed iron polylactic acid (Ir‐PLA) for marine applications. Optimal laser parameters reduce corrosion by 80% and enhance tensile strength by 25% and ductility by 15%.

Real elliptic curves and cevian geometry [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
We study the elliptic curve $E_a: (ax+1)y^2+(ax+1)(x-1)y+x^2-x=0$, which we call the geometric normal form of an elliptic curve. We show that any elliptic curve whose $j$-invariant is real is isomorphic to a curve $E_a$ in geometric normal form, and show that for $a \notin \{0, -1, -9\}$, the points on $E_a$, minus a set of $6$ points, can be ...
